Citadines Namba Osaka

Giving this hotel 5 stars. Location was great, just next to a station, very convenient! And room was perfect!!! Love how comfortable the bed was, after every long day, and lots of amenities provided. Staffs were very friendly too. Love this hotel!

Very nice hotel in a great location.
The staff is super friendly. The rooms are very spacious. There are laundry facilities and a kids play room which was great. Nippombashi is a very nice area with lots of good spots to eat and places to discover.

My family just checked out of this hotel…and I am speechless at the quality of everything. The rooms, the overall size of the corridor and elevators to accommodate large luggage, it is the most well designed hotel I’ve ever seen. Location is incredible too and the best part is the service. The staff were just another level of polite and helpful. Thank you and see you again soon.

Hotel walkable distance to Namba station n all the shopping plus good food! 7-11 is just steps away. The food hall beside is great too, not crowded and kids friendly.

Hotel service is fantastic, prepared a care package (kid slippers and toothbrush) and bed guard for my toddler. Room is huge for Japan standards. And there's a kids play room in hotel!
Decoration and wall paper is on point !

Everything was spotless. Rooms are clean and the location is great. The service was really good, with the people at reception striving to help us in any way they could.

Otherwise the gym could definitely use an upgrade.

The room was beautifully appointed, spacious, and comfortable, featuring all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. Located in a convenient neighborhood, access to local attractions was easy. I highly recommend this place for its excellent value and ideal location.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in Jan 2024, and my friend stayed in another room down the hall. Both of us loved the hotel. It was conveniently located in Osaka, common spaces are nicely renovated, the lounge with (good) coffee was nice. The room was spacious and comfortably decorated. We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend this to others visiting!

Clean hotel and of a decent size, given that most hotels in Japan are really small and squeezy. Within walking distance to Dotonbori and the street food alleys. Staff was also helpful and booked cabs for us on one of those days. Highly recommended!

Value for money, strategic locations and super friendly staff.
👍our room was ready an hour early before check-in time, and we can check in early. They offer luggage storage during check out, as our flight was at night. We were so happy that we dont need to carry the luggage and have time to do last minute shopping. They even offered an umbrella as raining outside.

When I first arrived at this hotel, it felt like an apartment and the stores across the street seemed run down, so I was skeptical.
As we checked in to the room, I couldn’t be any happier. Room was spacious and well designed. I loved every detail of the design; bed, wallpaper, desk, sofa, cubby, pillows.. most of all, they have the best bedding. So luxurious and soft. I had the best sleep in entire Japan trip.
Conveniently located in walking distance to major attractions- Dotomburi is 14 min walk, Namba station in 6 min. Mall is 5 min. Osaka castle was 15 min taxi ride.
I loved the restaurant on site and had a great breakfast every morning. Beautiful restaurant with lots of unique artwork.
Highly recommend this boutique hotel if you consider trip to Osaka.

Really happy with my stay at Citadines Namba Osaka! The hotel rooms were spacious, we had plenty of space to open up our luggages and walk around. Room was clean and came with a well equipped kitchen with utensils which came in really helpful!

Service was awesome, the staff there were always very helpful and polite. They helped us in arranging luggage delivery to our Tokyo hotel and even called our next hotel to help us to confirm the address and stay, which I felt was really thoughtful.

Location was a 5 minute walk away from the train station, and walkable to Dotonbori as well. Would totally stay here again if I come to Osaka!!

Room: there were 3 of us with the sofa bed set up. Unlike most sofa beds which are soft and uncomfortable, this is a proper bed and comfortable. The size is def not typical Japanese rooms, spacious with a much needed corner kitchenette. Great to have enough hangers for once! Bathroom also have enough hooks for all towels. Hooks for your extras are available on the wall outside too which is perfect , rather than having to hang it on chairs.
Housekeeping: a big shoutout to housekeeping, they are a mix of locals and foreign workers but they have been trained with the utmost standard. Everything is clean, dust free and done with the kind of meticulous and thoughtful thinking only very good training can entail. All toiletries are topped up everyday so that you don't have to worry whether you have enough. I always bring my own toiletries but Citadines provides excellent quality spa shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. One less thing to pack! Towels are clean and crisp and smells fresh. Sorry we had to change everyday as it's winter and it tends to stay wet .
Facilities: the much needed washer dryer, the reason many opt for AIR BNB is available , about 7units of each and so far I never had to wait to load in laundry as everyone was responsible enough to pick up when they are done . ¥400 for every half hr of dryer or washer. Playroom for little ones is well kept and clean. Good for rainy days. There is a shared pantry upstairs with great coffee and a shared fridge. I see ppl working or having small meetings there . Water dispenser on each floor I believe, taking away another common habit I normally have, buying tons of water and lugging ot back.
Location: not door step Namba hence minus the noise. My bunioned feet had no issue walking that 8 min to everything . Kuroumon market 2 min away. Airport nankai express is 8 min away on a clear day. Beware for those who shopped like crazy, there's no lift nor escalator up to the platform. Nearly died there.
Why such a long review? I'm impressed and I am thankful that such a wonderful place like citadines and it's crew still exists. I hope that guests reciprocate by keeping it that way. What a wonderful place! Well done citadines, and the people that make it so!🌸

Best selling point is definitely the location and low price when you consider the spacious room in Japan.

The staffs are friendly and helpful as usual. If you have any questions about transportation to tourists spot, just ask the staff at the front desk. They can communicate in basic English.

Room cards changed from plastic to wooden since 2024.

Free wifi, microwave, fridge and TV (just show Japan locate tv shows) in my two person room. There is also vending machine, hot water machine, gym room on my floor.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Citadines Namba: how often can you find such a spacious and comfortable room in the heart of a Japanese city?

As a ASR gold member, I was given a room upgrade. The room was all of 30m sq big, with a small kitchenette. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location wise: it is a 7-8 min walk to Namba station. Very accessible to the Nankai airport line. It is also walking distance to many key attractions like the Nipponbashi and Dotonburi area. I will be back!

Breakfast buffet: Had a mix of western and japanese selections. I would say that it was pretty average food, but for the price you pay it is decent!

Excellent property with very comfortable rooms and it even comes equipped with a pantry and kitchen amenities for in-house food prep. Very strategic location as well close to the heart of Namba, easily accessible to the main alleyways of shops closeby. Kuromon market is just 5 mins walk away.

The resident's lounge with complimentary coffee is a nice touch as well. Very highly recommended !

10min walk from namba/nipponbashi station and located along the denden town stretch. 5min wall from Kuromon market

Great hotel by a Singapore brand. Front desk service staff were excellent, going the extra mile to help with my damage luggage claims from Yamato. Guest Recreation room was also comfortable with free coffee and tea. Rooms were comfortable and came with a fridge and microwave oven. Great for recharge after a whole day of shopping and exploring Osaka! Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend this place.

This is the most kid friendly hotel we have ever been at. Staff are so kind and helpful (and we do nor even speak japanese).

The kids playroom is fantastic.

Spacious rooms. Very clean. Lots of amenities such as a gym, laundry, a kids play area, a restaurant and a bar downstairs. There is also a food hall attached to the hotel. The location is pretty central to multiple areas you want to see in Osaka. 7 minute walk to the nearest station.

Staff is friendly and helpful and very accommodating.

My room had a stove, a fridge and a table. It was very good value. I overall thought it was a very very nice hotel especially for the price I paid. Lots of elevators available as well.

The room was spacious, bed was very comfy. Bathroom is a litte bit small but workable. Interior design is minimalistic which is really cool.
