I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Red Roof Inn in Osaka, Japan, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and the availability of complete amenities was truly impressive. I especially appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea, which added a delightful touch to my stay.

One of the standout features of this hotel was their well-equipped pantry, which included almost all the necessary kitchen wares. It was a pleasant surprise to have access to such facilities, allowing me to prepare my meals comfortably during my stay. This convenience made me feel right at home.

Furthermore, I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel staff. They were incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with any queries or requests. Their warm and helpful nature contributed significantly to the overall positive experience I had at this establishment.

In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend the Red Roof Inn in Osaka. With its spotless rooms, comprehensive amenities, delightful complimentary offerings, and an exceptional staff, it truly exemplifies what an awesome hotel should be. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is a definite top choice in Osaka, Japan.

Service was excellent! They leave fresh towels outside your room everday so you do not need to ask for them. Amenities & coffee are available in the lobby. Check out time is 11 AM but if you still want to explore the city without dragging your luggage around, you can leave it with the receptionist and pick it up later for FREE!

Room 411. Note: no view

I booked this hotel for $28.00 a night so my assessment if reflective of the price I got.

Check-in and check-out was fast. Let check-out is available at ¥1,000 an hour (which is about the market rate).

There is a free-use coffee dispenser machine at the lobby as well as tea bags and green tea powder. There is also a money exchange machine at the lobby. Lastly, there is a table where you can get bath robes, shower caps, cotton earbuds, razors, and hair brushes.

Rooms are as clean as you'd expect and as small as you'd expect. I was a solo traveler so space was not an issue but if there are two of you and you've towed individual suitcases, space becomes scarce quickly. There are hangers but no closet.

Building is relatively new as you can see that they have centralised air-conditioning and the bathroom fixtures don't look like those on a train/plane as you'll find in older Japanese hotels.

There is a reasonably sized television without cable.

Soundproofing could be improved since there was one night that some people down the hallway were talking (not even shouting) and I could hear them from my room. But otherwise, I had no problem sleeping and the blackout curtains were effective.

A safe and a mini fridge comes with the room. There are air-purifiers in the corridor of each floor that guests are free to borrow.

There will be dust in you smash on your pillows/have a pillow fight but that did not affect me during my stay (I have allergic rhinitis and skin that easily gets itchy/rashes but neither occurred).

Lastly, location is great. Cross the street and you're in DenDen Town, go around the corner and you're in Sennichimae. Walk a little further and you're in Dotonbori. I walked to Dotonbori and Shinsekai for breakfast without issue. It's reasonably close to the subway station and convenience stores. There's a Lawson across the street and another Lawson round the corner. So many restaurant options are within a ten minute stroll. The Nankai station is also very close so going to/from Kansai Airport is not a problem.

I would book again at or around the same price without hesitation.

A very nice hotel with amazing staff. My wife sprained her ankle our first night in Osaka, and the front desk team helped find a wheelchair for her. The manager went out of his way to pick it up for us and also paid for the rental cost. Definitely recommend staying here!

This newly renovated and clean hotel is located just 5-8mins walk to Namba train station and a 15mins stroll to Dotonburi. There are many restaurants and convenience stores (3) just a stone throw away.

Im impressed by the housekeeping staff as they were thoughtful enough to leave a set of new towels and waterbottles for us outside the door as we opted out of housekeeping. Amenities are self seevice at the hotel lobby and there is an area for guests to chill with coffee/tea making facilities as well as charging ports.

The room is comfortably sized for 2 with 2 huge luggages however only 2 pillows were provided on the bed. It is still very value for money and I highly recommend this place!

Great central location, 5 minutes from Namba Station, 10 from Dotonbori. Quiet, easy access from street. Tremendous value. Thanks to team member K-Tran for helping us send over our luggage to our next destination.

Incredible value for money through booking app. It was in a prime location in Namba, Osaka. Tons of places to eat, shop, and explore. The room was nice and small with a double bed (hard mattress though). AC kept the room at a rock solid 19c despite the hot Osaka weather. Bathroom was nice, with a western style boxed shower room (no bath). Free coffee in the lobby too! I would absolutely stay there again.

This is the best simple business hotel I have ever stayed at in Japan. I've lived here more than 16 years and traveled within the country at least 100 times over.t the past 44 years. Red Roof Inn in Osaka Namba is absolutely the cleanest, most comfortable, with the best service at a low price.

We check in late on 01Dec, was greeted by warm and friendly front desk staff (speak good English and Japanese)! We have 2 rooms, both have reasonable room space and very clean! Convenient location near subway and you have family mart just round the corner. I'm very happy with the customer service and accommodation!

My group stayed in two rooms for a week in August 2018 and it was perfect. It was literally one block away from Osaka's anime district (Nipponbashi) and about a 5 minute walk from Dotonbori. There is a convience store (Lawson) that was right across the street which was great for little things, there is an ATM there too. This hotel had 24/7 front desk which was great since we arrived around 10:00 PM (not all Japan hotels are 24/7 so check yours!) The staff were always friendly and helpful. They do speak english and everything including the front door and elevators are controlled with your room key card which made us feel secured. They have breakfast from about 7AM to 9AM everyday, more or less the same but it was great because we always refilled our water bottles and got coffee here before starting our day. The rooms were perfect for 2 adults (we each got 1 queen bed size rooms). The shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were shiseido brand which I loved and they give you refills on toothbrushes, combs, hair bands, cutips, slippers, bathrobes, wet wipes, and shavers every day if you use them. There is TV and a window in each room. There are plenty of outlets and USB ports to charge everything. Overall we loved this place and it made coming back to rest much easier since the room was turned down every night and everything was ready for us to shower and get some rest. The AC worked great, not all ACs in Asia are made equally! The area was a bit noisy at night but not every night, I think it was noisy during our stay because there was a lantern festival near Dotonbori that week. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here if visit Osaka. (For the other reviews that are complaining about the room size, its Japan, all rooms are small. The size you get for a one bedroom with a queen size bed was fairly decent sized for Japan, we put our luggage off to one corner and had plenty of space to walk).

A great stay. Modern, clean, central to Namba Nankai station and great value. Staff were also super friendly and easily accommodated bag transfers/storage etc. Rooms are small, but that's always the case with Japan city accommodation.

I really like this hotel. It take about 10 to 15min to walk to the train station but it is very near den den town. It is a very new hotel and I love it. Their staff are very friendly, they speak Japanese, some english and even Chinese. I left my hotel card in the room, they are very nice to issue me another card. If you are going to stay near dondonbori or Den den town. I highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are a bit cramped due to the building shape, however the services are excellent (lots of power outlets, great bathroom/shower) and the location is outstanding with easy walks from Namba Station and Dotonbori. We would definitely stay here again!

As it is located in the middle of the most vibrant part of Osaka, neighbouring famous Denden town and Namba, Red Roof Inn is a perfect place to stay while in town. Clean and fresh rooms and friendly staff makes your stay even better. The complimentary beakfast is a little limited, but the price was good so it doesn't matter that much.
