Generally very nice. The lift that takes you down to the underground shopping that links to the train station is great. The standard rooms are relatively small which made a multiple day stay with large suitcases a bit difficult but think small rooms are very standard in this part of Osaka. Staff were great

Great place for holiday stay.

Room large enough to fit 2 x 81cm-luggage. Bathroom is clean (as of Sep 2024), probably because it is still new. Microwave and water fountain on the ground floor. Limited amenities, no coin laundry, no gym or onsen but it is reflected in an affordable price.

Overall great stay.

The room was a bit small with not a lot of space to put our luggage. What I liked about our hotel is that it had a lot of outlets by the bed for charging all my devices. I also liked the fact that I could take the elevator down straight to an underground mall where there are many shops and convenience stores and also about an 8 mins walk to the metro. There are many restaurants around the area and the hotel does luggage service for around 2500¥ depending how big your luggage is. If you drop off your luggage before 11am, it will get to your next hotel the next day. Our hotel was in Tokyo and it was there when we arrived! Very cool.

I enjoyed my 4-night stay at ibis Osaka Umeda, but it was after checking out that the hotel truly impressed me. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the underground shops and the subway, making it a great base for exploring Osaka.

The real standout moment came when I realised I'd left something extremely important in the room’s safe after I had already left the city. In a panic, I contacted the hotel, and Yoëla was quick to assist. She promptly located the missing item and went above and beyond by arranging to have it posted to my next hotel in Tokyo. I can’t express how grateful I am to Yoëla and the entire team at ibis Osaka Umeda for their incredible service. What could have been a disaster was quickly resolved, allowing me to enjoy the rest of my holiday stress-free.

Great location with a dedicated entrance to the underground system. Can take a while to get the hang of the underground, still struggled after a week staying here.

The rooms are small but this was an issue throughout Japan so can’t knock it. They were well designed and comfortable for the size.

There’s no gym or spa here this is just a place to rest your head after exploring and for that it works well.

Stayed here both at the start and end of the trip so was able to look at it in hindsight and although the breakfast was different from what we expected from an international chain, with it leaning hard into the Japanese cuisine rather than western with Japanese influence, the breakfast was the best of the accors we stayed in. A short guide for those unfamiliar would have been nice both for this hotel but also for Japan as a whole so you don’t walk in and get in everyone’s way.

Love the location and water dispenser at lobby. The hotel has a lift to basement to the link way to subway and many of the shopping mall. Do note it might be complicated to find the place in basement. But once you know the location it’s easy and convenient to use basement especially on rainy days.

Superb location with a direct access to the Umeda Station. Look for the whity Mall - East Mall sign, and the hotel signage so you can reach the hotel without dealing with Osaka summer heat outside. Plus, many good and reasonable price restaurants, convenient stores in the mall.

Room are an OK size for Japan, neat and clean. Staff are efficient and willing to help.Housekeeping does a great job.

Fantastic location for shopping experience and with Umeda station just around the corner, you can definitely get to any places in Osaka effortlessly. Great stay.

Loved our stay at Ibis Osaka Umeda. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent value and had a good selection of both oriental and continental options. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Osaka.

The rooms were not only clean, but so comfortable. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in! They also have an entrance directly from the underground metro station which is very convenient. Also, the air conditioning in the room worked SO well

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay in Ibis Osaka Umeda. With direct access to the Whity Umeda, the. underground network connecting to the various train lines, subway lines and the Osaka-Umeda Station.

The shotengai (shopping arcade) just around the hotel has already many of the japanese restaurants that you must try.

Their breakfast was also exceptional, given that this is a budget hotel. Having Japanese options on top of the regular fare is always enjoyable.

This Hotel ticks all the boxes…. Location is perfect in the Kita Ward, with literal direct access via a lift in the lobby to the Umeda Station. Lots of nightlife at the doorstep in the streets surrounding the hot. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were very stylish, well appointed, clean and comfortable. If you don’t want to stay on the more ‘frequented by tourists’ southside of Osaka (Dotonbori or Namba) this is a great alternative of an area to stay.

I’ve stayed in Ibis in different countries but I’ve gotta say this is one of the better ones in terms of location and size/quality of the room. You can access it via the underground platform (though there are a few steps to maneuver but it’s surrounded by eateries and shopping at the basement. And just minutes walk from the train station. When you exit the train station, walk towards Whity building and look out for the small entrance to Ibis after the supermarket. For first timers, it’s easy to miss the tiny entrance from the basement

The first day came early in the morning. Choose the limousine to be dropped off that is closest to your hotel.
Upon arriving at the pick-up point They let you choose the drop off point.
The drop off point that was previously sought was cancelled. It's only further than before.
Choose to go to hotel hynkyu respire osaka.
Follow the road to the hotel, keep crossing the road.
Arriving at the hotel, I realized I had forgotten my bag. on the limousine

Then suggest taking the car to the meeting point.
Wow, I got my bag back. Inside was a Harry Porter shirt.
Thank you to the hotel staff, Ibis Umeda. The location is very convenient. In the hotel there is an elevator going down to the basement.
Get out of the underground elevator and find a restaurant, a place to buy things, take a walk and chill.
Then walk to Osaka Station, very convenient.
I bought a JR ticket to go to USJ. Arrived at USJ 07.10, faster than expected.
Go to OSAKA Castle, house of living comfortably.

The room is small but extremely clean and quiet.
It is 10 minutes from JR Osaka station
The hotel is connected to underground subway line. You can take lift to the underground.

The location is amazing! We went during sweltering summer heat so the underground mall that leads directly to the subway is a big bonus!

One of our favorite stays in our entire trip. Wonderful room, great location, fantastic breakfast, all around great value. Wish we could have stayed much longer. Will look to book again in the future.

Excellent location. hotel’s elevator directly connected to Whity Umeda. Can walk to Osaka station by walking through whity stores. I would recommend to friends.
