Thanks to the owners, just had the best time for the trip.
Room and common area were very clean and you could definitely take a good rest after snowboarding!
There are many restaurants nearby, and you can ask the owners for more details about the amazing food!

I cannot recommend this place enough. Toshi and his family are great hosts, and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and help you with anything you need (even given you a lift to the supermarket & onsen!). Rooms are clean and tidy.

Very close to Goryu & 47 ski fields and local food spots.

Absolutely excellent place to stay. The family that runs it is one of a kind and incredibly accommodating. It’s the cleanest and best run hostel you’re going to get. Well worth a visit in summer or winter. Discounted lift passes, friendly atmosphere. Can’t recommend highly enough and I’ve stayed in a massive amount of hostels / hotels. There’s private rooms with private bathrooms as well as dorms.

It's very difficult to put in to words how great K's House is.
The warmth, hospitality, setting and overall experience is something that you will take with you forever.

Tosh and Migumi are phenomenal hosts. Nothing is a fuss for them and they will make you feel like their family as soon as you arrive.

This accomadation is nestled within a small village and there are restaurants, bars, rental shops, AND of course the ski resort all within maximum ten minutes walk.

Highly highly recommend.

I highly recommend this hostel. It was very affordable when comparing to the proximity to the train station and Hakuba Goryu Resort. You can walk pretty much anywhere in Goryu area. The kitchen facilities were fantastic and the beds were comfy to sleep in after a long day of being on the slopes. Toshi* the front desk reception and hostel manager was friendly and remembered my name every time I saw him, made me feel very welcome. Thanks for a great stay!

Hostel is very clean and relaxing (not rowdy) but it is conveniently located to bars so you get decent apres ski. Shared a dorm with 6-7 others, each bed has its own charger. Toilet/showers were very clean and the common area/kitchen is wide and very well equipped. Staff were knowledgeable and offered deal packages for Hakuba 47.

Toshi and his wife Meg are two of the most accommodating hosts that I’ve had the pleasure to stay with. Between their charming family and the diligent staff (Hiro and Conner) I can’t recommend enough. Everyone speaks very good English and will help you with your Japanese if you are inclined to learn. Incredibly clean facilities from the rooms, to the kitchen, to the common area. Great for solo travelers and families alike! You’re about a 10 min walk or less from from resorts, onsens, 7/11 and restaurants.

Very conveniently placed close to the Goryu 47 lift. Warm, welcoming, English-speaking hosts who were exceptionally helpful and constantly went out of the way to assist us with questions on our travels and on ski hire and transport. Confortable beds and living room which are pleasant to relax in between skiing time. Can't recommend enough.

Had a great 3 night stay in K's House Hakuba Alps (in a shared room with 5 beds). The place is clean, the owners are really nice and they make you feel very welcome by helping you out wherever they can. The rooms aren't all that modern anymore, but are still good enough.

Hakuba lies a bit remote, but it's still fairly easy to reach by bus, from Nagano, or by train. It does mean that you are a bit more limited in making daytrips, since it takes a bit of time to get out of the valley. Having said that, the hostel offers rental bikes and there are plenty of hiking trails close by to follow.

Sidenote: cablecars in the valley are closed outside of the winter season, so hiking in the mountains will mean you first have to climb all the way up. Also, most of the hotels, bars and restaurants in the area will be closed during this time.

I had a great stay at K's House in Hakuba. It's very central to everything. It's close to the mountain (Goryu), the train station, and there are lots of good places to eat close by. I found the bed to be very comfortable and had amazing sleeps after a day on the mountain. K's House also has discounts on many nearby places. You can get 20% off rentals at Wimpy and discount lift tickets. They even have discounts for a nearby Onsen. I would definitely recommend going to that. Toshi and Megumi are awesome at the Hostel.

I would have given this place 6 stars when possible. They helped us in any way they could. Way above expectations and certainly for that price. Dropped us to the onsen, gave us discount for the material and provided is a lot of information about Japan. Matane and thank you for everything
