An absolutely beautiful hotel, close to the Happo One lifts. There is a bus stop right outside that will take you to almost any other resort, as well as into the village. The hotel lounge space/bar is perfect for apres ski before going into town for dinner, and the onsen was profoundly relaxing.

Four of us stayed with Michelle and her team at Mominoki for a week's skiing in February 2024, would not stay anywhere else if returning to Hakuba. Rooms, breakfasts, onsen, location and the service - all great.

Every aspect. Perfect, from the staff, facilities, setting and the functionality of accessing restaurants and ski resorts. They literally take care of everything.

Great location, onsen great after skiing. Breakfast options could be improved, limited western options. Bar is quiet, no real atmosphere.

This is a long overdue review. We stayed at Mominoki Hotel from 16th to 20th Dec 2023 and we are very thankful for the warmest hospitality and exemplary service received from the hotel staff...Mr Seko kindly picked us from the station on our day of arrival and Ms Michelle and Mr Seko tirelessly sent and picked us from all our dining venues throughout our stay. Their friendly and cheerful disposition never fail to make our day. It's our first time visiting Hakuba and the very gentle and sweet Ms Ryo (梁様)would patiently answer all our queries. We could also count on Mr Luca for dining options and he would kindly help us with restaurant reservations and transport arrangements. We enjoyed the onsite onsen very much and we were impressed with the green initiatives that the hotel has rolled out for environmental sustainability. We also appreciated that Rhythm Ski Rental is just next to the hotel. Super convenient! Kudos to lovely Team Mominoki for making our stay such a memorable one! We can't wait to return soon and are counting down to our next ski adventure!

Gorgeous place. Staff, location, service, all amazing. It is an older place, but it is all beautiful. We will miss this place.

Close to everything we needed: Ski lifts (5 min walk or shuttle), rentals ( in parking lot), and food (onsite restaurant or pub in same parking lot). Hot spring tubs also a plus and places to hang out as a family. Only complaint is the rooms were ao hot, but we just opened the patio door.

This is our third stay at the hotel. Previously 2017 & 2018 winter seasons.

This is again a very good experience. Front desk is very good (Michelle, Lesley and others) and helpful with our enquiries and reservations. Breakfast is well organised, wide spread and nice. Another must mention is Seko-san, the hotel shuttle driver. He is a nice gentleman who is most patient and extremely helpful. We are happy whenever we see him.

Onsen is the other main reason for staying here. The outdoor onsen is especially wonderful, the temperature warm enough.

The hotel is conveniently located and minutes away from the Kokusai pair lift #1 (Happo One) plus it is serviced by many free shuttles to ski slopes nearby. There is also a rental (Rhythm) just next to the hotel.

We returned to the Mominoki after 15 years and it was as wonderful now as it was then. It is a real skiers hotel with great beds, fantastic outdoor onsen you can sit in as it snows and the most fabulous staff. Saco the General Manager even drives the free shuttle bus to restaurants for all the guests in the evening. Wadano has grown up around it and there’s now so many great places to drink and eat nearby as well as buses on your doorstep to all the ski resorts. Thankyou Mominoki, you made our holiday so special.

My first stay at the Mominoki but my boyfriends family are loyal to it and after staying it makes total sense. The hotel is so conveniently located at the foot of one of the most famous resorts in the area - Happo One, it’s got a free shuttle bus stop at the end of its driveway and a pub and the best ski hire shop on its premises. The rooms and amenities are immaculate, the free breakky is great, the staff were amazing and so helpful AND its also got one of the highest PH rating onsens! Cannot fault a single thing!

Our second stay in the log cabin. 5 minute walk to Evergreen ski school and Kokusai gondola at kid pace, or a bus stop right out the front. Amazing onsen, fantastic restaurant, The pub and Rhythm rentals just a few meters away. Great service, friendly staff.

If you do want to hire a car this is a great location. It is only a short walk to the bottom of the mountain where you can ski straight away. Rooms are large and there is also a indoor outdoor outdoor onsen. Breakfast is included with a mix of Japanese and western food. They also do a buffet dinner which is pretty decent. There is also a pub next door and Rhythm Ski hire. Worth a stay if you want to be close to the mountains

Stayed here for 5 nights with my partner and had an absolutely amazing time! The staff are absolutely fantastic and so helpful... Everything from booking day trips, making reservations at local restaurants and will also drop you off and pickup.

Being able to buy lift tickets at the hotel and having rythem ski rental across the carpark made things very easy.
The rooms were also very clean and tindy. We will definitely be back in the next few years!!

Excellent hotel. Large rooms, Onsen on site, fantastic staff, powerful showers, many good restaurants and bars on a large expanse of property that the hotel is located in. May be a bit dated and a hundred and fifty meters from the ski slopes but this is well compensated by the efficient service the hotel provides. Very well trained multi lingual staff especially when compared to the rest of Hakuba. Ski shop also on the property. Family friendly. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel. Great location - it is a short (10 min walk) to the ski field, and there are also lots of *great* restaurants within a 10 min walk as well. There is a very good ski rental place just across the carpark.

The onsen was a definite bonus - one of the nicer ones in the area.

Breakfast buffet was very nice. They also have multiple dinner options that we used a few times: a buffet dinner restaurant and an a la carte dining area (where they do a very nice sukiyaki). There is also a nice bar area to chill out in.

We stayed before peak season start, not much restaurant is open. And the shuttle bus send us to restaurant every night because not much guest in this moment.

Friendly and awesome staff here, specially for Ms. Wonji Lee, she came to pick up us from the first day with the big smile and helpful to make restaurant reservation.

Breakfast was good👍🏽lounge area with a fire place and onsen was lovely to rest after a whole day skiing😌

This review is for onsen only. The hotel offers a day use pass for the onsen, which is nice because some hotels are not offering this service in 2020/2021.

The outdoor onsen was extremely peaceful and warm. The entire facility was extremely clean and they had all the amenities you need and expect in a Japanese onsen experience.

They close mid-day for cleaning. Just proceed to the front desk and pay ¥1000 yen and you will get access to the onsen, and extra ¥300 if you need a towel.

I wasn’t a guest at the hotel but I came to use the onsen and it was incredible! Huge and well equipped changing area, plentiful showers and the most beautiful outdoor onsen - there’s nothing like watching snow fall while soaking in a luxurious bath. ¥1000 very much worth the experience.
