Kema Sakuranomiya Park

Probably over a thousand cherry trees all in full bloom. Big open space and not much crowds. No bus loads of tourists. Plenty of restrooms, shade and rest areas. Love this park.

Came here twice 2nd and 4th April 2023, for hanami. Within two days, almost half the petals were swept away. It is one of the best places for hanami even the name of the JR station will guide you here, Sakuranomiya. See you next year.

I was here few days back for Sakura watching and was blown away by the beautiful Sakura trees. You’ll love strolling through the riverside road covered with Sakura trees from both side. You’ll find little shops with local delicacies along the way. And of course don’t miss the chance of cruising around the river at pretty low cost.

One of the best Sakura spots in Osaka. It’s not limited in the park area. Along each riversides, there are quite lots of place for picnic, walking, jogging, cycling, or even just sit at somewhere and enjoy the view. The Sakura is everywhere in blossom season (during end of March to beginning of April). Very good place for outside activities.

We were here in April 2018 and were absolutely blown away by the sheer numbers of sakura trees lined up along the river. We took the train to Sakuranomiya station and walked the entire length of the river. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Absolutely loved the feeling of being surrounded by sakuras and since this park is wide and open, there is a less sense of congestion, which is absolutely perfect.

The cherry blossoms were beautiful, and being able to walk in the park all along the river and then reach Osaka Castle was an amazing way to spend part of the morning.

Kema Sakuranomiya Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Osaka.

During Sakura Season, families, friends, etc gather in this area for various activities.

This place is better than Osaka castle park. Less people and more space to relax . I also had fun with riding through the park on my bike .

Beautiful in cherry blossom season, probably the most beautiful part of Osaka in early April. Most evenings the sunset here is very pretty and it’s a great place for a stroll along the river, offering some of Osaka’s prettiest views.

Loved it 😍 I went with my gf on peak Sakura weekend and it was raining so it was literally empty and we had the whole place to ourselves....I'd recommend eating something before because it might be a bit of a walk before you can get to the nearest station or restaurant
