We had to ship day before en route to Tokyo (from Osaka) our luggage so we could enjoy our Shinkansen experience better without the hassle of bringing too much items with us. I thought it was going to be troublesome. But it was really smooth. As long as you write legibly the letters (even using English characters), Yamato staff would be able to read them and interpret it to Japanese characters if needed. Their staff are really trained dealing with foreigners especially when you are highly concern about the timing on when the luggage should arrive. In our case, we arrived at the hotel around 2pm the next day after we shipped luggage. I even tracked my luggage with a GPS. They usually travel midnight from Osaka to Tokyo.

日本橋営業所と言う名称ですか港区にあります。引き取りに行きましたが対応は良かったです。しかし普通の大阪市日本橋の方々が引き取りに行くのはかなり遠方かと。

海外発送の注文で東京の住所に送ってもらう依頼だったものが大阪の住所に届きました。ヤマトさんには全く責任がないのだけれど大阪だと保管期限内に受け取ることができないため東京の住所へ配達して欲しい相談をしたところ非常に丁寧な対応をしていただき感謝しています。運送業は粗野なイメージがありましたが他のサービス業と遜色ありません。ヤマト運輸のファンになりました。
