Feel Osaka Yu

Absolute gem of a hostel! The location can’t be beat: it’s stumble distance from some great night nightlife, ~10 min walk from both the Dotonbori canal and train station. In addition to the location, the rooms are incredibly clean and tidy.

The location and cleanliness alone are enough to make it a must-stay for the economic traveler, however, and Kazu and co are very kind and accommodating which add to the appeal.

Kazu was a fantastic host and made us feel extremely welcome. His service was superb!

Perfect location, just across the street from a major subway stop and surrounded by good food and shopping. Just a few minutes walk to Kuromon Ichiba and other locations.

I had a bunk in the shared room and it was everything I needed. Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bathrooms were probably the nicest I've ever seen in a hostel.

I would absolutely stay here again!

The guy in front Kaz is an amazing English speaker, awesome rooms, nice amenities, and peak location.

I cannot stress how good the location is. In between the luxury lane and the alleyway nightlife of dotonburi. Nestled in front of a parking lot where no one goes through.

What an incredible find! At first, I was nervous about the stay because the building seemed smaller than conventional hotels, but what it lacked for size, it made up for in spirit and hospitality. Seeing the reviews, I was also a bit curious about the hotel staff.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Kazu who was very warm, welcoming and gave me plenty of recommendations for what to do in Osaka. Even going through the lengths of explaining what to order or eat, I was really welcomed by him and his father during this stay.

Through the course of my 4 nights stay in Osaka, their company and conversation during my late afternoon coffees or in the morning when I was eating my convenience store breakfasts in the lounge really made me feel like during my trip I was coming home to family. We shared a lot of stories of travel and language and I would absolutely recommend anyone to come here.

The lounge has several instruments they've salvaged from a nearby jazz bar, and performing there is really welcome! If you're a musician, or happen to be a hobbyist, I'd recommend this!

First of all was the amazing service, very kind and helpful with good English too!
They even opened the music cafe and jammed with me on a weekday at my request!
The room (mixed dorms) was comfortable with everything needed and very clean and maintained.
The location is great, short walk away from the train and the city hub.
Overall, it's amazing and i highly recommend.

Excellent stay, very reasonably priced for the location and the room/bathroom was immaculate. Kazu took special care to find out our plans and add in local recommendations….all of which were excellent which we would have never found! Would certainly come back if in Osaka.

Such a nice place! Free amenities! Slippers, Toothbrush, Bedding, Shampoo, Coffee are provided. Safes in the room, baggage storage available. (free before check-in, 500 yen after check-out). Very helpful and friendly staff! Very good location! Definitely recommend for a stay in Osaka

This is a really amazing place for travelers! A very contemporary and modern hostel with brand new facilities (the place opened in late june 2018) for a decent price. The bathrooms are gender neutral with a separate space for women. Plus there are seperate toilets on each floor. The bathroom facilities are very clean and really modern!

The dorm rooms are comfortable and airconditioned with cosy beds and a TV. Each bed has its own universal wall plug equipped with two USB (2100mA) charger. So you don't need travel adapters, which is really nice.

The staff at the reception was exceptionally helpful and amazingly friendly. Don't hesitate to ask questions, they'll definitly help you out!

Finally the location is great, there are numerous bars, restaurants and food stores within walking distance. Plus if you arrive in Shin-Osaka with the Shinkansen Express you can easily get to the hostel using the subway line. The subway station is within 5 minutes walking distance.

All in all a great place and really recommendable if you want to explore Osaka! :-)

Amazing hostel that's small enough making it easy to meet other guests. Restrooms, kitchen space and capsule are super clean and well designed. Laundry machines, slippers and towels are all available from the hostel. Kaz, hostel operator, is an AMAZING person open to recommending only the best of Osaka and ensureing your stay is top-notch. I plan to stay again at Feel Osaka Yu next time I visit Osaka!

My stay at Feel Osaka Yu was amazing to say the least. Kaz and his father went above and beyond with their service to provide an accommodating stay. Upon arrival, Kaz prepared a map showing the nearby attractions and offered tips and directions in getting there. During my trip, I was unfortunately unwell and Kaz and his father accompanied me to the local pharmacy to help me with purchasing medications. They also gifted me oral rehydration solution and cooling pads to aid in my recovery. Kaz was also very helpful in making sure my stay was comfortable through asking whether my room was too loud due to nearby construction at the time of my stay, and offered several times to switch to another room. He was also very understanding and patient when I had trouble with the air conditioning but it was fixed within 5 minutes. The room I stayed in was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The hostel provided everything that is needed for any traveller; slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even hair straightener and hair curler. The tatami bed was also very comfortable and Kaz offered to swap bed sheets after 3 nights of staying (total stay was 7 nights). The location was also very convenient with Shinsaibashi station located within a minute of walking and convenient stores such as family mart and Lawson located nearby.

Feel Osaka Yu is an amazing family run hostel. The hostel rooms are newly renovated, so they are very clean and modern. The beds are very comfy and the bed sheets keep you very warm in the winter. Room conveniently includes lots of USB charging spots and air conditioning. The public bathrooms are also spotless and regularly cleaned. The location is excellent, with Shinsaibashi Station only a two minute walk away, connecting you to everything around the city including Dontonbori, Namba and Osaka/Umeda Station, to name a few. Kaz and his family were very warm and welcoming. Kaz was always happy to help us, being first timers to Osaka, Japan, from Australia. Thank you very much Kaz @ Feel Osaka Yu for a very pleasant stay and for treating us like a part of your own family!

The place was very clean and comfortable. It's also very affordable considering that it is located in Shinsaibashi and few minutes from the train station. Kaz was very helpful and is always ready to help and give recommendations. The bathroo m was also very beautiful! Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again! 😊

Booked this place through airbnb. Booked the capsule. It was my first time doing capsule and it was an awesome experience. The concierge person name kazu, was super help. You can ask him anything about kyoto as it is his homeplace. Every morning he greets me with a wonderful smile.

Google says 2-star hotel.
It is anything but 2-star, 5+ more is more apt.

Small yet comfortable, only met the concierge but he was such a gem of human.
Went above and beyond what he needed to.
Will be staying here again DEFINITELY!!

nice cheap and quiet privat rooms. Toilets and showers are shared but thats no problem.
