It’s a take out spot, so I can’t really comment on the atmosphere. There’s always a a line, but it moves fairly fast for the fresh ones out the oven. They have others that are >2 hours baked which can be bought without going in line. The cheesecake itself was light, fluffy, and very tasty. For ¥996, it’s a very good deal. I’ve had fluffy pancakes that cost twice that price.

We had to try Rikuro‘s while in Osaka and it did not disappoint! There is always a queue, but don’t get discouraged as it moves quite fast. There are 2 lines: one for freshly baked cheesecakes and one for the 2 hours ago baked ones. Go for the hot out of the oven one as it was to die for!

Our favorite cheesecake ever. Japanese style. I always think that the cake tests better than what I remember. Soooo soft and fluffy. If you want a hot one, you will have to stand in line for it about 30 minutes. But it is worth it! Recommend to eat it right away.

The phrase 'sells like hot cales' must have been invented here 😀 Best Japanese style cheesecake ever! You have to taste it to believe it. Super soft, fluffy, hot and jiggly. They make it fresh and it stays for a few hours to days. There is a separate queue for 2 hours back baked cheesecakes but that queue was empty! It just shows how popular this place is. Very different from American style cheesecake.

Fast and fresh. Taste was mild and not too sweet. There were raisins in the bottom of the cake. I bought a whole one but probably should have opted for a slice instead. Great spot to watch them stamp each cake and see the iconic jiggle.

The perfect consistency, warmth, and taste. The perfect mix. Wow. Still very impressed. The cake is fresh and warm. I have never tried anything like this, it’s a unique and different experience. The line is fast. We had to go back immediately after. The first time we tried the slice that was from two hours prior and the second time the fresh cake. Both were incredible. Good location. Worth going. Worth waiting in line.

Delicious and fluffy cheesecake. 👍🏼 it may be abit egg-gy. But it’s soft and it literally melts in your mouth. Lovely treats at 965Yen. Wish they have a few more outlets! I would give it a 6/5! Cos I really love it. Be prepared to queue if it’s peak hours.

These famous Japanese cheesecakes are known for their soft, fluffy texture and rich, creamy flavor. These cheesecakes are typically round, jiggly, and have a slightly sweet, melt-in-your-mouth quality. They're often enjoyed freshly baked and warm, making them a popular dessert in Japan and a must-try!!!

If you visit Osaka you have to go here. It was so tasty. So different than what we have in the states. $6 roughly for a cake and it’s good to share with one other person. So good.

One of the best Japanese Cheese cake I’ve ever had. Geeeeet iiiiittt. We bought a hot one, and housed the whole cake at a McDonald’s nearby cause there wasn’t an eating space.

Most of the negative reviews are from people expecting American cheese cake flavors. They don’t know what they’re talking about.

There are TWO lines for the fluffy cheesecake, both equally long. One line is for the cake that has been baked 2hrs ago or more, with the line moving faster. The other line is if the cake that has been FRESHLY baked. And I mean, FRESHLY baked, you can see them coming out of the oven, getting unwrapped with steam still coming out the top, and being stamped with the rikuro logo and put right into the box for you. They served 6 at a time so the line moves painfully slow. But it was all worth it especially if you eat it immediately within the next hour or so. The fluffiness is without comparison and one person can eat the entire cake because it is very light in flavor.

Waited in line to see what the fuss was about and it was worth it. Line moves super fast and they give you numbers based on how many cakes you want to buy. The cake is super fresh, fluffy, moist and yummy. Would wait in line again.

I think no visitor wouldn't like their fluffy, delicious and never-filling cheesecake. It's a shame that we can only enjoy this level of scrumptiousness in Osaka. Whenever I go there I get one everyday, be it as breakfast or late night snacks. It's just perfect.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Japanese-style cheesecake at this hidden gem on our dec trip, and I must say it was an absolute game-changer! If you're a cheesecake aficionado, this place is a must-visit.

The texture of the cheesecake is unparalleled – super soft, incredibly fluffy, and yes, it's hot and jiggly! You have to experience it yourself to believe how heavenly it is. What sets it apart is the freshness; they bake it on-site, and the flavors are simply irresistible. It's not just a dessert; it's an experience.

During our visit, we had a short 15-minute wait, and trust me, every minute was worth it. We opted for the baked cheesecakes, and they were divine. The fact that they stay fresh for hours to days is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship behind these delightful treats.

This place is evidently popular, and after tasting their cheesecake, I completely understand why. The Japanese-style cheesecake here is a whole new world compared to the traditional American-style cheesecake we've had in New York. The subtle differences make it a unique and unforgettable experience.

If you're in the mood for an extraordinary dessert adventure, look no further. Whether you're a cheesecake enthusiast or just looking to try something new, this spot will exceed your expectations. Treat yourself to the best Japanese-style cheesecake ever – you won't regret it!

really good place. the cheesecakes were delicious and the line took us only about 3 minutes. I also really appreciate the option to get just 1/4 of the cake because they're really big. it would be perfect if there was a spot to eat the cheesecakes nearby when you order take away.

Internet famous cheesecake!

The price is very reasonable.

The cheesecake is very popular so you will likely have to queue before ordering.

They have a cafe upstairs but you can not bring your downstairs-bought cheesecake for consumption upstairs.

You also have to make a reservation if you want to sit in the café; there is a daily limit on cafe bookings.

We waited like 20min to buy one. I'd definitely recommend trying this famous jiggly fluffy cheesecake but beware - do not expect cheesecake flavour. It's more like a fluffy pancake but it's delicious and surprisingly light!

Sponge cake is likely a must-try during a visit to Japan. The place was recommended to us by the concierge of our hotel.
This shop is quite popular and there was a long queue in front and it seems be difficult to get a seat. We had one of their sponge cakes as take-away. It was excellent and well worth queuing.

The fluffiest cheesecake ever! Ordered a 1/4 slice for 370 yen to share between two as a whole one would have been way too much. It was so soft and melts in your mouth. The raisins at the bottom were a surprise and super delicious.
