Toraya Inn

Everything about this stay was perfect The rooms are new and very clean. The service and kindness of the staff was as good as the best what we’ve experienced in the best hotels in the world. When we asked if they had any extra boxes lying around that we could use to ship souvenirs back to Tokyo, Suzuki was kind enough to not only find us a box but also post the package for us. Wonderful place with wonderful staff. Highly recommend.

Simple, no frills Ryokan accomodation with 1 private onsen for 3500yen per 45min session. Carpark is less than 100m away and the inn is warm and friendly. Since there is no breakfast dining area, you pick up your breakfast from lobby to eat in your room. Buns and croissants with a nice hot soup in thermos for every guest.

The hotel is well located. The room was very beautiful and well equipped. The staff were really friendly, able to speak English and Chinese. In addition, they gave us the immense pleasure of offering us a representation of a maiko. Thank you very much for this experience.

Cannot stress how comfortable it is to live here. The staff was extremely kind and the rooms are very clean and gives you a traditional feel. Listed below are some features they have:

- Included hand warmers, onsen baskets, extra towels for onsens, Kimono + matching thick wool jackets for cold weather

- Generous amenities including a hot water dispenser and different types of tea to brew. Private bathroom. Although the rooms are very close and does not seem to be sound proof, we had a very quiet night.

- Private in house onsen which you can book for 45 mins at a fee of about ~3000yen for you and your group, limited slots during the day time

- Upon checking in, the staff will guide you through the best spots to visit and eat around Gero. We received an annotated map and some coupons for restaurants and onsens in the area.

- Although it is about a 10 minute walk from the station up a slightly inclined hill, the inn is very close to a lot of destinations around the town.

- On the day of checking out, it is advised that we needed to check out by 10am as they were closed the day after, however we were allowed to have our luggage stored in our room past this time so we could cruise the town one last time. The owner was very nice about this.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I enjoyed it all. I am a big fan of living in traditional homey inns and this place really hits the spot. Highly recommend.

The hotel is clean and comfortable in a good location. The staffs are very nice and helping. My eye was hurt on the day arrived the hotel. They spent like 20 min to call all clinics around the area. I really appreciate of their help!

Great small place to stay in Gero. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Highly recommended and an affordable price.

My stay at Toraya Ryokan was wonderful! The rooms are very clean and comfortable, including the futon which were very nice! Great location close to various onsens as well as the Gero Gassho Village! The staff were so kind and friendly and we had many good conversations with them. They are very familiar with the area and will sit down with you and a map to show you around the area and give recommendations, which was very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

New, clean and tidy. Private onsen with ¥3,300 for 45 mins, inside the property. Free parking for staying guest nearby.

A slight hiccup as we couldn't find location on rental car's GPS, otherwise, perfect! 😀 Cosy environment, friendly staff, no complaint.

Suzuki san was very friendly and accommodating. He showed and recommended food locations and onsen places around the Gero town. It's a very beautiful and newly built building, only 1 year old. Very pretty room and the ryokan is very clean and generous with their amenities, they even provide free geta tabi socks, hand warmers. Loved our stay!! Very comfortable. We were able to put on beautiful kimono and walked around

Great place to stay with friendly management

Adorable little Ryokan. The private onsen is lovely!

사람 많고 객실이 큰 숙소를 좋아하지 않는지라
온천이 유명한 게로에 오면서도 고민이 무척 많았다.
폭풍검색을 하던중에 눈에 들어온 Toraya Inn
주택을 개조한것인지 2층으로 된 숙소가
너무 깔끔하고 귀여워 보였다.
거기다 일요일 2인 조식포함 9천엔대
평일은 8천엔대의 착한가격~~!!
내부도 숙소에 등록된 사진과 똑같이
너무 깨끗하고 크기도 적당했다.
작지만 편한 의자 두개와 폭신폭신 편안한
이부자리 그리고 화장실에는 작은 욕조도 있고
방과 화장실은 미닫이문으로 분리되기 까지.
숙소에 작고 귀여운프라이빗온천이 있지만 45분 사용에 이용료가 3500엔 별도로 있다.
근처에 대중탕과 호텔온천 할인권을 챙겨 주셔서
가까운 로얄호텔 대욕장을 천엔에 이용했는데
대욕장에 욕탕이 실내에 하나 노천이 두개밖에
없었지만 물이 좋고 사람이 적어서 나쁘지는 않았다.
다만 수건은 1층에서 입장 계산할때 받아가야 한다.
조식은 간단하게 스프와 크로와상, 모닝빵, 작은 쥬스 이렇게 준다.
빵과 스프는 맛있지만 양이 적으니 참고하시길.
대체적으로 오래된 숙소가 많은 게로에서
가성비 좋고 조용하고 방 컨디션이 좋은 숙소를 찾으신다면 강추~~!!
숙소옆에 물이 너무나 맑은 개천이 흐르고 있어
창을 열어두면 밤새 물소리가 들리고
밤에 불켜진 개천을 따라 산책을 하는것도
너무 좋다~

評判のいい旅館らしく部屋もきれいで、朝食も美味しかったです。 何より浴衣も無料で借りられて嬉しかったですね。 店員さんも親切でした。 貸し切り風呂は45分ですが、事前にシャワーを浴びてから入れば60分まで利用可能でした。 いろいろ大満足して、今度また下呂に来たら、また泊まりたい旅館でした

雖然地板是木製的，小孩跑跳會影響到下面的人！（除了這點有帶小孩來的人，需要注意）
其他吵鬧，意外隔音超好！我們隔壁房的人吵鬧聲，只有在走廊才聽得到，進房，一點聲音也沒有！
有免費的停車場（不是飯店旁邊的停車場，那裡需要付費），免費停車場，路途會經過，才會抵達飯店！（飯店門口也有停車場指示圖）！走路大約2-3分鐘
飯店還很貼心，有準備暖暖包（整個很暖心）
語言上也不用擔心，這裡有中文的服務人員
離逛街的地方也滿近的，用走的就可以抵達！
另外最棒的是：私人泡湯！雖然需要額外付費，但帶小孩一起來玩，很適合一家同樂！

是很舒適的地方，有私人溫泉可以預訂，對於有刺青的我們來說非常友善和方便～床很好睡、早上會有簡易早餐，大推一波✨

雰囲気とっても素敵でした。色々お願いしたにも関わらず快く引き受けて頂きありがとうございました。最高の旅行になりました。館内も全て清潔で綺麗で、立地もいいです。駐車場も翌日の14時まで停めてオッケーなのもありがたかったです。
