Namba Station

Very convenient to go to Kansai airport, options are local trains or the famous Rapit (10 minutes less than local train). Namba station is also a great place for lunch or diner, lots of choice.

The Rapi:t is a limited express service between Kansai Airport Station and Namba Station.

This is the train station you need to leave from for transport to the airport.

The ticket is ¥930. They said that it was reserved setting but I couldn’t find anything on the ticket to say that

Nice and clean station! Also convenient to access the various shopping malls around the area.

This is the destination of the express "Rapi:t" and others Nankai railway trains. 9 platform and the big station hall will surprise the tourists.

Due to COVID-19, the frequency of train departed one per hour, so make sure you reserve enough time to take the train.

Namba Station which is connected to different subway/metro line and nankai line from/to airport and to other cities in Japan is really amazed me with the modern design. It is connected to Namba city, Takashimaya department store, oioi mall and namba walk. It was really big place to stroll around. One of the modern station in Osaka.

Starting station of the Nankai Rapid express train. Suggest booking online in advance as all seats are reserved on this line, also it is slightly cheaper to buy online, then use the QR code to scan and enter the platform. But remember that you do need a working internet/data connection to generate the QR code from your online purchased ticket (screenshot won’t work) as the code is valid for 5mins at any given time.
The journey itself is very comfortable, dedicated luggage space, the train is an architectural wonder of sort and is quite a cool way to get to the airport.

Compare to JR, 40mins for ¥6600

Beautiful train station. The platforms are all under one big open space, reminiscent of many European train stations.

This station has a very beautiful facade. It looks historic. It is also very near the famous shopping district in Osaka - Dotombori. Don't forget to try out the Rapit train too.

A station almost all the traveller been there, when they are visiting Osaka, sign and very clear, train are 100% punctual. Direct train to and from Kansai international airport.

Strategic interchange station. So organized and convenient to find platform for line exchange. Unless you’re using JR pass.

Easy go to Wakayama and South Osaka and KIX.

It’s a great place in general, nothing much to say, friendly staff, plenty of stores.

This is the Nankai Nanba Station. It is clean and there are a plenty of coin lockers(one on the first floor right before the escalators, another at the second floor next to the ophthalmologist and one more at the B1 floor and there were plenty of available lockers until 10AM on a weekend morning) so you don’t have to worry too much about your luggage. There are a lot of good and affordable hotels in the area as well.

The Nankai line also directly connects you to the Kansai airport. The fee was something like ¥850 by normal train and ¥500 more(so ¥1300 something) for the limited express train, as of winter 2019.

We stayed close to the station, the hotel was the Swissotel Nankai which was actually just above the station if I'm not mistaken. Loads of shops, you'll never go hungry, lots to do, super close to the popular area Dotonbhori. I think staying by this station is great for tourists wanting to explore Osaka. Short train ride from Shin Osaka as well.

Famous station, big one and have connections to multiples lines. You can find everything here, inside the station, on the station and around the station. It's a must to go station in Osaka.
