Sendaikun Coin Laundry

This place is amazing. It will see small and let’s say well used but don’t let that fool you. The washers work very well. They are simple to use, no I mean really simple. You pick the size machine you need, add your clothes, put in coins and have a seat(if you can. Not too many chairs but who cares.)

These Machine are fully automatic! Cool thing is they even automatically dispense soap so you have to bring nothing but clothes and coins. There is a softening sheet available for the dryers at 2 sheets for ¥100. The dryers are hot and fast.

Basically it’s close to Shinsaibashi’s Main area and it works. Great to find this spot and now I know the next time I come to Osaka I’ll pack lighter.

Easy to use machines. An average load costs 500JPY and takes about 30 minutes to wash. Dryers are around 100JPY for 10 minutes.

Automatically adds the soap when washing. Dryer sheets also available. Also has English menus and labels on some machines.

No frills, efficient laundromat. As another reviewer mentioned, the machines seem dated and somewhat beat up on the outside, but they work extremely well.

Pricing for washers: Small 7.5kg load costs 400 yen, medium 10.5kg load costs 500 yen and a large 18kg load costs 800 yen. There is a change machine in the back of the laundromat that provides change for 1000 yen bills if you don’t have 100 yen coins on you.

Pricing for dryers: The two large dryers are 100 yen for each 8 minutes, the 6~7 smaller dryers in to the right of those charge 100 yen for each 10 minutes.

Washers: DO NOT add detergent or softener to the laundry. I made the mistake of adding some high efficiency liquid laundry detergent to my 10.5 kg load, which was only half full. I put the words on the rim of the washers into google translate (before I saw the English translation sign) and thought I was supposed to add my own detergent and softener is automatically added. Anyways, after a couple of rinse cycles, the super foamy load was basically bubble free by the end of the 30 minute wash.

Dryers: I only put my clothes in for 10 mins and they were mostly dried. Most of the stuff I traveled with are light jersey dresses and leggings, and it wasn’t a lot of clothes. The only item that was still damp was my light sweater dress, I wasn’t going to wait another 10 mins for one item, so I’ll just put it on a hanger when I get back to my hotel. There are 4 temperature settings on the small dryer I chose, I left it at high since I only used it for 10 mins.

I only packed 1 week of clothes for my 2 week vacation in South Korea and a Japan. This laundry excursion was 40 minutes well spent so I could use my luggage space for more important things like KitKats :)

Convenient and easy to use laundromat. Some English instructions, but easy to use regardless.

Machines are marked with English writing so it is easy to use.

利用した事がないですけど布団も洗えるから便利ですね！

设备看起来有点旧，但是洗衣挺干净的.

洗濯乾燥機は2台です。どの機械もコインのみで紙幣は使えません。洗濯乾燥1100円ものコインは持参しておらず、この日は両替機が使用中止になっていて、詰んだかと思いましたが、すぐ50m南にも同じお店があり、そこの両替機が使えました。

自動で洗剤が出てきますが、ちょっと多いかな？

Machines are very dirty, mould etc on the seals. I walked away without using it.
