Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park

lovely hilly walk filled with fine art sculpture by many artists you may know. stream and many labeled plants snd trees. a wonderful cafe with traditional Japanese lunch. great coffee and tea. cakes and friendly staff…museum and shop .. the real deal.

So cute ceramic shigaraki in sights warms your heart even in chilly weather. Welcoming and friendly service with good food served in brown rice and water (restaurants) , keeps your body temperature checked 😜 plus nice hot cup of coffee with ginger.carrot cake. It will a great place to visit during spring and summer —my opinion! Because right now it’s almost the end of December, so there is only the naked trees and dried brown grass😃 . But if you are a kind of person like me and my friend to ~LEts Go any way then you can. You will have fun like any other day. We had ours today 21/12/26. #Memories of the day❤

Lots of sculpture. Great place to work as an artist.

Just had a great day out with my kids here. Museum is beautiful & the clay artifacts are fantastic. The kids enjoyed a picnic in the wide open outdoor space, sitting on clay stools, rolling down the hill. Beautiful shop & workshop for souvenirs. Lots of parking and very easy to get to. We will be back.

This may be one just for the geeks. But the museum attracts some amazing exhibits, the energy in around the artist-in-residence program is infectious and the surrounding area (even within walking distance) is home to some absolutely top-flight potters. Oh, and the gift shop is really, really good, including some collection-worthy pottery.

A must visit if you are into art and ceramics. The town of Shigaraki is brimming with potters and the ceramic cultural park is a beautiful space with a ceramic art institute with multiple types of kilns built over a large landscaped park. Don't miss the museum at the top. Get there early and spend 2-3 hours at the least.

Unique place for souvenir shopping in Shiga. Clerks were wonderfully friendly to me and my students, visiting from America.

Shigaraki Ceramic Culture Park: This very spacious park is a wonderful place for a picnic, and perfect if you have children. It is full of quirky, interesting ceramic sculptures.

What great ceramic center. Something for everyone

陶芸館での展示がメインになると思いますが、周辺は屋外アート、ピクニックや散策を楽しめる芝生や小川のある広場、レストランは一か所（たぶん）、信楽の窯元の作品を展示販売している館などがありますが、外でゆっくりするのがメインになりそうです。駐車場は多めにありますが、点在しており目的場所の近くに停めるか、歩くの苦でないなら、空いているところに停めて散策でもよさそうです。

GWの陶器市の際には大変混みあうようですが、普段であれば土日でも混雑は感じられませんでした。
散策するにはいいコースがあるようですが、立ち入り禁止になっている個所があり残念です。
これだけの敷地を管理するのはたいへんでしょうし、散策も距離が長いものが多くて利用者が少ないからかもしれませんね。

夏は暑く冬は寒い目にあいそうですので、季節の厳しい時期は対策が必要だと思います。

リサ・ラーソン展を見に来ました♪初めて訪れましたが、公園もあり森らしく自然を感じることができる気持ちよい場所でした。脚力に自信のない人は出来るだけ上まで車で行くと良いと思います。私は中腹の駐車場に停めたので、やや不安定な階段を登り展示施設の陶芸館に辿り着きました。
信楽産業展示館には沢山のアーティストの作品がたくさん展示されてます。
トイレや自動販売機、レストランもありたっぷり過ごせそうです。

陶芸館でリサ・ラーソン展をしていたので訪れました。ネコ・ライオン・トラなどの動物を思い浮かべるのですが、人物や建物などの多くの作品を手掛けており、それらが展示されていたので満喫しました。展示数も多く、見応えがありました。
他に親子で体験できる陶芸教室もあります。公園になっている広場で小さな子供が遊んでいる姿も見受けられます。

想像以上に広くて半分も回れてないかな❓

丘１つが綺麗に整備されていて、新緑が青々とし風が吹き抜けて気持ち良かったです　野外のイベントをするには最適ですね

毎年GWに信楽作家市があるので行ってます。大盛況で駐車場はいるのに並びました。

大きいワンコ連れには、広いしのんびり出来て、駐車場も無料なのでいい公園です。
ランチのお店も店内不可ですがテラス席OKで美味しいです。

5月の作家市へ行って来ました！天気が良くて山の緑がキレイでした。作家さんの陶器は素敵で、楽しい時間過ごせました。

とても広い施設です。
観光バスで行きました。
バスは第3駐車場に停めます。一般車は何ヶ所か駐車場があるので、自分の行きたい施設の近くに停められるようです。
私は岡本太郎さんの期間限定の展示を見に行ったのですが、展示は陶芸館という丘の高いところにあったため、バスで近くまで行って降ろしてもらえたので大変助かりました
あいにく雨が降っていたため他のところを回る気力がありませんでしたら晴れていたら野外のオブジェの展示も面白いので見たかったです
所々にいるたぬきが可愛かったです。
