Great views, short walk from information center. Almost missed the entrance to the steps down to the better viewing area. Hold on tight to any kids going with you as the railings have huge gaps between the rails & it's right on a cliffside.

景勝地です。
駐車場は有りです。
洞穴に打ちつける波が空気を圧縮して出る際にドーンという雷に似た低重音が響くため「残したい日本の音風景百」に選ばれているようです。
碁石海岸遊歩道があり、駐車場から約５分ほどで展望台までつきます。
展望台からは雷岩や乱暴谷などのゴツゴツとした大きな岩や谷も見えて、そこに打ちつける波の音が響きわたっていました。また乱暴谷や雷岩の周りの海の色が淡い青色になっていてすごくきれいでした。
大自然を感じられ、キレイな海を見れてよかったです。

青い海にそびえる平たい岩。穴に打ち込む波が確かに雷のような音を出す。松の合間から見るのもいいし、少し階段を下る展望台から聞くのもいい。
