Rhythm Hirafu, Niseko

Hands down the best rental experience I’ve ever had. The board and boots are on top condition and the staff were super helpful. LOVE that they offer the new Burton Step In bindings!

We went with the premium package and it was totally worth it. Started on an all mountain board and then switched to a powder board after the second day. Switching the board was super easy. Just walk in right up to the board counter and get it swapped out.

I saw some reviews complaining about the wait but honestly it depends when you come in. They do an amazing job for the amount of customers they get. They have stations so they try to make it as streamlined as possible. Also, love that you can pick up the rental after 3pm the day before. Will definitely rent here again!

Everyone in the store was friendly and helpful, and the building itself is modern and with great design. We’ve got some delicious coffee and spend a few hours on summer activities they offer like bouldering and trampoline before hitting the road on our new shiny bikes! Couldn’t recommend Rhytm Japan more, the best place to rent sport gear in Niseko!

There are 2 shops. Rhythm base and Rhythm 2. Both shops has Comprehensive snowboard and ski Rental and service. English and Japanese service. Name brands and international attire and accessories avaliable. New and full of premium rental gear. Waxing is based at 4000 yen plus.

Great team, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is a bit of a hill climb from the main road so be prepared for a climb when you return your gear. We visited at the start of the summer season and rented some bikes for the family. They do not have baby bike seats for kids who can't cycle. Great selection of bikes and the ones we used were well maintained. Helmets and other accessories were available on the spot. Thank you to everyone who helped us!

It is a very convenient rental. Select the equipment we want to rent and the duration, fill in the details and you will receive a piece of paper with the customer code. Go pick up the equipment. Good service staff.

Very happy with the premium ski rental! Staff were very helpful at recommending skis for the conditions and helping me decide what I might like to try. They were also very helpful with explaining the resort to us, especially the off piste areas. Swapping skis is very quick, so it’s worth making use of the unlimited swaps

We had a great experience with Rhythm. We rented our snowboarding gears from them and they made it very convenient for extension and returns. Very responsive on their emails, would 100% recommend.

They also allow us to pick up the gears from 3pm the day before - definitely use this option as they can get pretty crowded. Even if you’re not renting, do drop by their shop for one of the best coffee in Niseko!

Easy to get to if you time your buses right. Staff were very kind and efficient. Very good bike rental prices. I have rented stumpjumper alloys for more than what they charged for renting the stumpy evo in the US. Quick and easy rental, no need to reserve probably in advance. However, they did pump up my tires to the labelled psi which is a big nono when mountain biking. I figured this out when i cornered too fast and had my rear tire slip out since it did't conform to the berm. Make sure to deflate your tires or at least check before hitting the trails. They also all understand English because half of the staff are Australian which could be nice for non-speakers. I will be renting from them again next year and reccomend them especially since their value-to-price also beats their competitors.

Good experience of renting from Rhythm Hirafu. They have a strong efficient team that gets the line moving, they have all the necessary items and products that you'd need. I was informed by my coach that my skis needed to be waxed though. Would I recommend to rent from them again? I might or might not...there were plenty ski rentals nearby my hotel and although Rhythm was very convenient (they do pick up, drop offs), I might give other smaller business a chance to gain my business too!

Alex and the rest of the staff provided exemplary service when my son, his friend, and I recently rented 3 electric bikes at Rhythm Niseko Base. Even though we had a small mechanical issue with one of the bikes, they took care of us from start to finish. I highly recommend their store and hope to have the opportunity to work with Alex and the rest of the team in the future!

Rhythm Hirafu is expansive and diverse in its product and service offering, but its like dealing with that small local store in your neighbourhood......super friendly, experienced, passionate and full of great tips.

I love dropping into the shop in winter and summer, and infact I wad just there over the weekend ahead of the Niseko Classic UCI cycling event.

I was stressed out with a mechanical issue on my bike the day before the race and your Robin, the Finnish-Japanese bike mechanic had me sorted and at ease in no time. Such a nice guy and experienced. I went on to have an amazing race with confidence in the equipment.

Post race, I dropped in for a coffee and "special drink on tap". Amazing barista.....friendly, warm, skilled!

I then hung out with George talking about cross country biking and realised I could rent an awesome ebike mountain bike and see parts of the town I never get to experience. She was amazing....best of luck with your music degree!

Finally, Jai has become my go to guy on all things Niseko. He is awesome, friendly, helpful and never stops smiling.

They all work at Rhythm Hirafu....there must be something in the water there but I can't tell you how great it is to still find that small, local experience within a big establishment.

Bravo Rhythm and to the staff there. You have a great "can do" attitude, client friendly approach and obviously an awesome culture. See you guys again in winter.

All the staff are great, especially TJ at the workshop - so friendly and helpful! I needed a binding adjustment and he got me set up very quickly so I could head straight to the slopes.

Service is AWESOME > needed an easy fix to my custom ski boot liner and Daniel was there to help! It was nice to have help and a side of local knowledge of the town. 10/10 recommend for all needs with personal or rental gear in Niseko!

Since our initial long wait time to get gear and my scathing review, rhythm has gone out of their way to accommodate us. Not only have they refunded us our first day, they've given us a ride to the slopes and coordinated a hear pick up to make our trip as easy and smooth as possible. Thank you so much Rhythm and sorry for the initial review, I definitely spoke too soon. 😖

I usually never write reviews on places but this shop is just awesome. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, and even though we had no reservations (or any plan at all) they helped us find the right rental gear and organized a shuttle for us. The prices were more than reasonable and it felt like home. Would 1000000% recommend to others! Also the chai lattes are fire.

Both my wife and I rented our equipment and did a couple of refresher lessons with Rhythm. Both the quality of service and the instructors (Petra and Tallulah) were absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend it - we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

A very pleasant snowboard and ski rental experience in Niseko. We encountered great staff members, Bo and Eden, at Rythem who were patient and provided excellent service. Hoping to rent skis and snowboards here again next time we visit.

Rhythm Japan was the highlight of my Niseko ski holiday – I can not say enough good things about the services Rhythm provided.
I chose Niseko as our destination because of Rhythm and the inclusive, full package it offered – airport transfers, hotel booking, rentals, lift tickets, and private instructor/guide. I considered other destinations, but Rhythm made getting to Niseko and hitting the slopes effortless. Every element that Rhythm managed went perfectly. They took care of all the trip planning, and my experience skiing in Niseko could not have been more convenient. The customer service reps I emailed before the visit, particularly Hannah, were great communicators, explained everything clearly and were very fast to respond. The after-hours phone number they provided to ensure we had no troubles with our late arrival in Sapporo and the car to our hotel in Niseko was reassuring, but everything went smoothly, so we did not have to use it. Competence, and customer service! The Rhythm team at the Setsu outlet were friendly and the gear was definitely premium. The boot sizing machine ensured a perfect fit – after four days of skiing, my feet felt great, so they definitely had the right boots for me. Our instructor/guide Lutius was fantastic over the two days we spent with him. He was a great listener, figured out what we needed and wanted for our ski experience, and he catered to us. He is charming, and of course, a great skier and instructor. He has such a great attitude, it was a real pleasure to ski with him. I could not have been happier with my experience with Rhythm (and the amazing skiing conditions – JAPOW!).

Birdie who drove me on my first day of rentals was lovely, renting was easy! Someone give that woman a RAISE. Fr though, most convenient rental company in town by far.
