Amazing onsen with excellent views of Fuji. You can practically relax here for the whole day. The restaurant here is amazing too. Food portions are big at a reasonable price

A wonderful place worth for a visit. It was recommended by a local hotel staff when we were there.

Fujiyama Onsen in Kawaguchiko is a highly regarded hot spring facility known for its large, spacious baths and serene atmosphere. Located near Lake Kawaguchi and next to the Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, it offers a variety of bathing options designed to provide a relaxing experience.

The onsen features both indoor and outdoor baths. Inside, you'll find a large rectangular tub, a naturally carbonated tub, a lukewarm bath, a cold-water bath, and individual "sleeping baths" with jet bubbles for body massages. The Finnish sauna is also a popular feature.
Outside, there's a long open-air bath surrounded by natural rocks, although Mount Fuji itself isn't visible from here.

It is also known for its cleanliness and the helpfulness of its staff, who speak some English, making it accessible for international visitors. The facility also offers additional services such as massages and esthetic treatments, a hammock rest area, and a variety of dining options.

Overall,it’s a good experience and worth for a visit.

I visited this location around noon on a Sunday. No tattoos allowed! (Fine for me; my partner could not go) The entry cost 2000yen and everything is charged to a bracelet you get at the shoe lockers.

I was happy with the bath/springs. The crowd was moderate, but I did not have to wait for anything. There was a nice mix of indoor and outdoor features. I also liked the variety of temperatures and found a good balance.

I choose not to use the second floor restaurant, but might come back and try it later.

Went here straight after Fuji-Q Highland. The best hotspring I've ever experience. They provide towel & soaps too. Amazing place to soak to conclude your day.

There are 5 indoor pools, one sauna and one outdoor pool. The architecture itself is amazing. It’s a bit far to be there by walking but they provide free shuttle bus. The blue bottom line of the free shuttle schedule is operated only on Friday, Saturday and days before holidays.

♨ Rejuvenating Bliss at Fujiyama Onsen**

After an invigorating 3-mile walk exploring the scenic beauty around Mount Fuji, my family and I decided to unwind at Fujiyama Onsen. Nestled in the foothills of Japan’s iconic mountain, this onsen offered the perfect blend of relaxation and traditional Japanese culture.

**First Impressions:**
From the moment we arrived, the serene ambiance and warm hospitality of Fujiyama Onsen enveloped us. The traditional wooden architecture, complemented by tranquil gardens, set the stage for a deeply relaxing experience.

**Soothing Waters:**
The onsen's mineral-rich waters were just what we needed after our hike. We each took turns soaking in the indoor and outdoor baths, which provided stunning views of Mount Fuji. The contrast of the hot, soothing waters with the cool mountain air was invigorating. Our baby, too, seemed to enjoy the calming effect of the warm water in the family-friendly bathing area.

**Facilities and Comfort:**
The onsen was impeccably clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities, from the provided yukata (traditional robes) to the well-stocked relaxation areas. The onsen also had private family baths, which were perfect for us to enjoy some quiet time together.

**Cultural Experience:**
The onsen experience was a delightful dive into Japanese culture. We followed the traditional bathing rituals, from washing thoroughly before entering the baths to soaking quietly, respecting the peaceful atmosphere. It was a wonderful way to immerse ourselves in local customs and traditions.

**Dining and Relaxation:**
After our bath, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the onsen's restaurant, featuring fresh, local ingredients. The tatami-matted dining area allowed us to relax and savor our food leisurely. The onsen also had comfortable rest areas with reclining chairs and soothing music, where we spent some time before heading back.

**Final Thoughts:**
Fujiyama Onsen was the perfect end to our adventurous day. The combination of physical relaxation and cultural immersion made it a memorable experience for our family. Whether you’ve just finished a long hike or are simply looking to unwind, Fujiyama Onsen is a must-visit. It rejuvenates the body and soul, all while offering breathtaking views of Mount Fuji on good weather day.

Nice onsen with an open onsen, for the night i came here, i can see the fireworks from onsen, it is amazing. Many people come here to take rest and enjoy the onsen and sauna, most of them are japanese. It provides towel for free. There are a large car parks that if you use the onsen facilities and tell the registration counter in advance, they will provide you free parking. This is a enjoyable experience. Many people will come, i will suggest to come here in non-peak hour to enjoy the onsen without many people. From ouside, the building really resembles the scene in the movie "spirited away (千と千尋の神隠し)". It is a bit mysterious at night.

Great onsen (a kind of public spa using all natural hot spring water from the Fuji mountain, yes, you got to be fully naked) with traditional Japanese onsen building structure and construction styles. I guess it is hard to get the historical feeling from any other onsens. There are about 5-6 different onsen pools/tubs in different size, temperature, and functions. I had a lot of fun with my kids when we try to step into the ice cold one from the extremely hot water. There is an outdoor pool but closed due to construction when we were there. I would like to visit here again with my family.

Btw, if you book the Fuji Q highland resort, the Fujiyama onsen is free for hotel guests. It makes me feel the hotel is in really good value for money.

We booked a private Onsen for an hour, which also gave us access to the public area. The private Onsen is great value for bigger parties but I would recommend to book longer then an hour. Everything is well organised and has a relaxed atmosphere. Prices are good and amenities well maintained.

Public area only has one Sauna and 5 small pools.

This is the best Onsen I visited in Japan. The large bath is great temperature to really sooth your body, the sauna and cold plunge pools are fab too. As is the outside Onsen. Such a relaxing place to be, great reaturant also with attentive staff and massage option's available on the 4th floor. Spend the day here chilling 👍.

This is very popular spa around here and crowded. You should get a priority ticket at your hotel or you must be in the queue to enter this facility.

This is a Japanese style public bath, Onsen complex. There are huge big bath!! Looks wonderful because the bath is made by wood. There are several bath like normal hot water, bubble water, cold water and outdoor bath and so on!!! You wash your body and dip yourself in the hot water. That is amazing!!! There are sauna as well. This complex has restaurant, gift shops, relaxing room. Good to have dinner after long bath time!!! But check your time well, the business hour especially for the dining is limited, the closing time is early. I am sure you can feel relaxed here!! Enjoyyyy!

Very well organised onsen, though be ready it's fairly packed. There are 2 main large baths, one indoors and another outdoor one. There are also sleeping jacuzzis, cold plunge pool and a sauna. The atmosphere is very nice. Both water and sauna are very hot. Highly recommend the place.

Upon exiting you'll find a gift shop, and upper floors have a restaurant, hammoc room and some other relax areas. The restaurant was average.

We had lunch here as part of the package tour. For getting inside one has to remove shoes, which can be kept in the locker. Food was good and the whole experience was quite nice. Didn't use any other facility.

Peaceful onsen facing Mt. Fuji. The price is reasonable considering that include towels, soaps or everything with open roof onsen. They offer free circulation bus for guests, please do not walk there as i do.

It was my first time going to an onsen. It was an excellent experience. We googled this place and took a taxi there. We paid and we got in they gave us towels and changing robe. Female customers one side and male customers other side. there are different kinds of onsen, Hot one cold one and some are wine base... And I don't remember some of them. Afterward we could relax in a resting area and there is a restaurant we can order meals. after that, we can go back to onsen.... As Long As we were in there, we were fine. Once we got out, we couldn't go back in until we pay again. we ended up coming back the second day. So love it!!! strongly recommend!!!!

Great onsen as part of the Fujikyo complex, spanning four floors. Connected to Highland Resort. Several indoors baths and a spacious outdoor bath. Sauna room included. Restaurant, relaxation area, massage rooms and stone sauna located on floors 2 to 4.

Everything is pretty clear even for someone who doesn’t speak Japanese, as long as you are aware of what you are supposed to do at an onsen, you’ll enjoy it. There is also a very hot Finnish sauna which is covered in towels so you can visit anytime you like.

I stayed at fujiq hotel so I had free entrance.
