Morita fountain pen shop

I cannot sing the praises of Mr. Morita's knowledge, kind & genuine service coupled with his amazing fountain pen & supplies shop enough! Don't let the size of the shop fool you, it's crammed to the brim! Fantastic - it's like walking into another land. The prices are so good, even though Mr. Morita does not offer tax-free like the big shops such as Itoya, his prices are better (even without the tax-free)! He is appreciative of your business and is delightful to speak to, even with the language barrier, he puts in the effort. I enjoyed Osaka but enjoyed other cities more. However, Mr. Morita & his shop is the reason I will go back to Osaka. Card is accepted.

Second generation owned fountain pen shop with a bigger selection than your wallet has money. The owner is extremely friendly, and I can tell knows the feeling of the nibs like a true master. This isn’t some aesthetic, overpriced stationery shop. This is a fountain pen shop for the beginner to the collector and everything in between. His prices are also fantastic. Hobby rejoice, wallet beware :)

I visited Mr. Morita's fountain pen shop at the beginning of May, during my holiday trip to Japan. I really enjoyed shopping there. Mr. Morita showed me all pens I requested to see and gave good recommendations. And he has a really huge collection to show! He did not pressure me in my buying decision, so I could carefully chose those two wonderful Pilot fountain pens that would follow me home to Germany. And before packing the pens, Mr. Morita even double checked the nibs and tuned them carefully. This is 100 percent service. Should I ever have to opportunity to return to Osaka, I will certainly visit Mr. Morita in his fountain pen shop. Thank you for this shopping experience.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Very good prices for Japanese and western pen brands. The shop is however quite small, but has a good selection for the size.

Mr. Morita-san's shop was my favourite stationery store experience in Japan. My Japanese is non existent, but we could still communicate with names like "Pilot' and "Sailor" and words like "converter". Japanese brands are much more affordable here than in Canada.

Really friendly and a great place to look at and touch the pen before deciding which one to buy. You can't get that when you shop online!

Absolutely love this shop. It is a small fountain pen shop but it has a good collection fountain pen. The owner is very knowledgeable and very helpful. For people who love fountain pen, language barrier is not an issue.

Shop owner is kind and accommodating. Does not know a lot of English but he will try his best. Good selection of fountain pens, including some exclusive to his shop. Price is competitive with online stores but come here for the experience. He will walk you through the decisions you need to make before getting a fountain pen.

Best pen shop in Osaka. Much better service and better prices than the bigger pen shop in Osaka.

This shop carries Japanese pens below MSRP and at better prices than I have found online. He also carries a collection of western pens that are also at good prices. The Pelikan pens are cheaper here than they are in the US.

The owner offers great customer service letting me try many different pens before my purchase. I discovered after purchase that my Pelikan pen suffered from a defect and would hard start/skip. The owner helped me through the warranty process to have the manufacturer replace the item.

Yes he is a small shop and can’t do tax-free, but the service that he offers more than makes up for that. He also has free shipping on orders over ¥10,000 within Japan.

The owner speaks some English, and I also communicated with him using email. I received quick and professional responses. I will make sure to return to this shop in the future.

Great range of pen collection (at cheaper price than in Dept. Store). The price written on the tag is not yet included with tax. Don't forget to ask about task refund if you're a non Japan residence. Very easy to reach using local train service. A must go if you in need to find a fountain pen.

Must-do if you love fountain pens. The owner is quite pushy but very knowledgeable. The pen selection cannot be beat, nor his care and love for the pens. He will take his time to help you get the perfect pen.

If you have a chance GO to this place. Mr. Morita is a gentlemen, has many, many pens in his little, packed shop. He will let you try them out. Prices are very good. No credid cards, cash only, international atm closeby. This guy is really passionate about fountain pens. Please support him.
