Very interesting and a place must everybody should have a look. There are lot of educational and archaeological value too. There you will get to know how our ancestors treat patients, how they prepare medicine, what are the medical values of the herbs we day to day use. Different different items and methods they used to do treatments and make the medicines. And the structure is also very nicely done.

It is said that Gautama Buddha visited Mahiyanganaya on the Duruthu full moon poya day in order to settle a dispute arose between Yakkas and Nagas and this was his first ever visit to Sri Lanka. source
