Hemadan Seafood Restauant & Bar

So had a lovely little breakfast at Hemadan this morning with the love of my life. Staff was extremely helpful, and food was very nice. Highly recommend the veg curry. Was mild but full of flavour. Really nice location, had breakfast on the Jetty. Will definately return 👌🏻 owner showed me his classic beetle too. Overall was a lovely visit.

Loved the Sri Lankan crab curry here. Apt for kids 👌 you get to witness the seaside view dining experience

Delicious Sri Lankan Cuisine, Relaxing River Views and Delightful Service!

Beautiful and tranquil location, iced cold beer, scrumptious authentic Sri Lankan food and friendly service is what you will experience when you visit Hemadan Restaurant and Bar. Ordered the devilled beef, chicken and fish, prawn and chicken curry and all of them were superb.

The warm-heartedness and generosity of the owners made my wife and I feel comfortable and relaxed. With the large portion sizes and extra side dishes at no charge, you’ll be leaving bellyful and totally satisfied! Highly recommended!

It is really amazing place with very kind hosts (super friendly family). Very silent and full of beauty around) with very tasty food (the best vegetarian carry in Shri Lanka). Want to come back here for sure. Very soon ❤🇺🇦🙏

Good good, nice view, polite and friendly service. It more on the expensive side but overall great experiance and you get a bit more than one would expect. Higly recommended.

I stayed one night at Hotel Hemadan and the hospitality and support I received was incredible. They helped me find transport to the nearby Yahirala National Park and cooked some amazing curries for dinner. It was truly an amazing stay and the family was a great host! I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place where the owners actually care about you!

The owner and others are so cooperative & polite. We had Sri Lankan famous Curry rice both veg and chicken and it was absolute delight. Papadum, mango, cucumber and chillies all in some pickle form were so good along with the curry rice. They served bread butter with Minestrone soup. They specially arranged candle light dinner next to the patio on the sea. Vanilla ice-cream with banana fitters is a must dessert.

Incredible place and nice stuff. It’s the best hotel I’ve live in Sri Lanka with reasonable price. The view in the balcony is excellent

This off the beaten track venue is a hidden gem.

Me and my wife took a stroll out and stumbled across it by chance. We decided to eat here on a whim and were not disappointed.

I had a traditional Sri Lankan street food dish and she had vegetable noodles. The food was accompanied by plenty of lion lager and a constant stream of poppadoms being delivered to our table.

The view of the river is a lovely setting although it is spoilt mildly by the water sports operators near by.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. They were polite and wore some nice looking traditional uniforms.

I recommend the spot for a light lunch and a fairly quiet afternoon sipping beer.

We visited this establishment a 2nd time after our rather impressive first visit.

I had the devilled chicken and my wife had the Sri Lankan chicken curry with vegetable sides.

Both dishes were amazingly well cooked and you got more than enough food.

Not a criticism for me as I am more than happy to eat with my fingers but the chicken is served on the bone for those that are picky about these things.

Best place in the area. Calm and quiet with a nice view. The food was awesome and friendly management. Will definitely come back!

Quite a humble restaurant with available customisations to food. Also ferries guests across riverside through the river to reach the restaurant.
