I was not having any idea about accommodation at A'pura and randomly found "SOBAYA"
I should say, it is the best choice I made.
It's really homey stay. Clam environment.

A big surprise to find such a beautiful, clean spacious and peaceful place to stay. A Home out of home feeling. It was great staying here and chatting with the owner Mrs Subuthi, President of the Lions Club of Rajarata Queens, an all ladies Lions Club. Being the Club Secretary of Colombo Elvitigala Lions I find the place ideal for you and your family. I highly recommend you all to visit 'Sobaya' and feel the difference. Me and my friends found this place on Google and trusted the place based on reviews. We were going past Anuradhapura on the way to Colombo and wanted a budget place to rest for the night. This was a great place. The room was clean with good linen and had two double beds. They arranged an extra mattress for a fifth person. The room was air conditioned which was working fine. In the morning a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast was provided and we loved it.
Aside all of these the owner a charming lady was very friendly and provided great hospitality.

SOBAYA is one of the best place to stay during the journey to Anuradhapura. Rooms are in very good condition (with AC/ without AC) with well cleaned and well maintained bathrooms. Room charges are also reasonable. Owner, Mr. Kasun & His family are very helpful and very pleasant to the visitors. Surrounding is also peaceful with around 50m to the family park near Kumbichchan kulama wewa. There are plenty of better outlets around this place to take meals, also the friendly helper in this place would help you with meals. "Pooja nagaraya" is also accessible within few minutes from SOBAYA.

This is all about the Sobaya - Homestay. It was an amazing place that like their Name. I felt like I came to my home, because the owner were so friendly with us, and she gave us superb and lovely service with her full of kind heart. She always cared us and I felt like we're are family.

Even during a pandemic they have managed to provide a good service with following all safety precautions. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast also so delicious.

Specially should tell this, They provide the service with adding full of love to everyone. Thank you so much Sobaya - Homestay and we are hoping to coming back!

We stayed here for a long weekend. I have to book this place since all other places under my budget have been already fully booked in the area. It's a little bit expensive but worth the money due to the service that we have witnessed. Lady who maintains the place politely handle all customers and inquire any matter from her and it is super helpful for us. I think the good rating get them mostly because of the service. We can recommend this place.

We spent one night here but i must say that everything was excellent and comfortable.The loation of this place quite close to all the puja cities. And rooms were very clean and neat. most of all the lady Mrs.Kanthi who own this place was very friendly and adorable and very helpful to us. She gave us an exceptional service.we choosed right placed to stay. highly recommended for those who love to stay like home .Thank you sobaya.

Great property and can reach the new city and pooja city very quickly. The owner, Mr. Kasun, and his mother are extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. The property is clean and has a wonderful antiquity.

In short, I don't feel like I was out of the house

I had the best time at Sobaya. The place is lovely and very clean, the room is comfortable, and everyone is very nice and welcoming. I eat a delicious dinner and breakfast, vegetarian as requested. Aunty Kanthi is adorable and very interesting to have a discussion with.

We had a good experience at Sobaya. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner is a very decent lady, helped us a lot. Food was delicious. They helped to make our stay comfortable.

The sobaya guest was wonderful. It was even better than expected. The price was amazing. There were great restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again. And also i wanna mrs kanthi is such a wonderful ful women. She has brilliant brain. Thank you aunty kanthi for your kindness and you help us to build our knowledge also. Thank you sobaya family. Nice place everything neatly organised and cleaned. Specially the bathroom was very clean. The owner aunty was very kind and help us lot. We felt as at home. Recommend for anyone for a pleasant stay. Thank you sobaya

Whrn I searched a resort to get rest in anuradapura I met this place in Google. It had 4.8 rate.When I went there Good condition rooms,very clean and neat A/C or non A/C rooms for reasonable prices were there & up to my think SOBAYA RESORT is the best place to rest in anuradapura.....Very good & friendly service... We highly recommend 👌

The stay was incredible. The Lady who oversees the place treated me like her son and she was super friendly! I’d recommend this place.

I searched on Google for a resort to stay in Anuradhapura for one night and found a Suitable Air conditioned family room of a beautiful resort called "Sobaya Family Resort" near Anuradhapura New Town station and Kumbichchankulama Lake for 5 members.

Then I called Mr. Kasun Malinda for reservations. Suddenly he called me and reserved my room.
Reservation is easy and quick. I asked for the dinner and the breakfast. He arranged it for us.

We got off from the train at Anuradhapura New Town Station and he told me the directions to the resort by calling me.

We arrived the resort and his mother welcomed us traditionally. Immediately aunt gave us the key and we entered the room. No waiting time. Great welcoming.

That room is very neat and tidy. It is also beautiful beyond we expected and perfect. Then we had a bath. Washroom is very clean.

After we had the dinner. It is so delicious. It was cooked by helper uncle.

Then we had a walk around Kumbichchankulama lake. The air is fresh and cool. The place was amazing. The great Stupa Ruwanweli Seya can be seen beyond the lake.

Next morning we had the tea and went by a metered taxi(Aunt arranged it in the night) to worship the Great Stupa Ruwanweli Seya, Thuparama and Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi.

After worshiping that great places, we came back to have the breakfast. Had the breakfast and It is also so delicious.

Then we easily checked out and paid the bill. That is so reasonable.

Finally aunt called a taxi again and asked him to take us to the station.Aunt(Mr. Kasun's mother) is extremely helpful.

Within the entire stay, we felt like our home. Neat and tidy place in a calmful surrounding.. Highly recommended.

Entire stay was fantastic..!!
Myself and wife stayed at Sobaya for 4 Days.
It's a family running business and owner Kasun and his mother( Suba aunt) were extremely helpful .Aalways they will go beyond your expectation.

Whole place was super clean and location was just perfect for everything. Suba Aunty and Uncle Karu(in house helper ) helped us with 'Kiri ahara pooja' in early morning on our second day. Always we felt like home at Sobaya.
100% Recommended :)
