Radisson Hotel Tamboho Waterfront Antananarivo

This hotel annex was in a wonderful location in Antananarivo near some very nice shops. The rooms are lovely and large, the staff are wonderful and kind. There is a beautiful pool in the courtyard. The breakfast is a classic continental breakfast with a delicious off the menu additional orders. Dinner is also wonderful You can also go to the Blu a few meters away for the gym and additional restaurant options. I highly recommend this hotel!

The location was very perfect for a walk around the city center
Their prices were favourable

Would stay again. Clean and people nice. Pool clean. Only negative is location. Getting there is difficult with traffic but otherwise location is safe with a lot of security

Great location, great room and great facilities!

The team treated us exceptionally well doing all they could to ensure myself and my party had a great stay.They even parked our car as we physically had no more energy after driving 4.5 hours from Mantadia National Park.

The food was also very good especially the club sandwich and the cheeseburger, believe it or not it's actually quite hard to find a good beef cheeseburger in Madagascar as its mostly Zebu.

If you get the chance try the avo and poached eggs!

Only drawbacks were:
The lack of any English television channels (aside from BBC news)
The bathroom door (slide door that didn't cover the door frame and was quite hard to move.
The in-room phone was quite strange, no numbers listed anywhere and reception was '9022' instead of just '0' or '9'.

All in all even though we stayed only one night and also we didn't sample or of the options that were available at the hotel we were really happy with what we received for our one night.

The staff were so attentive that they even helped us dry our boots our in the sun which were still wet from our trek.

We had lunch here, very nice place with polite staff. Nice view on the water of "tana water front". The food is very good and is a change from all the fast food around. Expect to have higher prices than others but it is definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tamboho. The room was relatively spacious, great (firm) mattress, big bathroom. People were helpful and friendly, and I liked that the hotel is not enormously big - it makes it feel homey. The garden is beautiful.

Clean rooms with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, but I especially loved the pillows!

There was airport pick up and drop off with the hotel's shared shuttle (though I was the only passenger both ways). The staff were friendly. Even though the Radisson Hotel has no gym, one gets access to the gym (and infinity pool) on the 8th floor of the Radisson Blu next door (3 or so minutes' walk away). Radisson's pool was also great to use. They had a jazz night at the main Tamboho restaurant, and the zebu steak was also nice.

The waterfront where the Radisson and Radisson Blu hotels are, is a complex with residential houses and has a mall and food court, so you can get your shopping done, go to the cinema or try out the restaurants. The waterfront is also green and beautiful.

However, there are no towel racks, so the many folded towels (and blow dryer) make the sink area look crowded and leave very little room for personal toiletries. Management should consider installing overhead towel racks for the fresh towels and another for drying the used bath towel (They had 3 hooks, but those were already taken up by my shower cap, toiletry bag and bathrobe).

It would also be great to have a small table on the balcony.

A really beautiful place. It stands out from what is around. It is in a safe compound, guarded and with 24h reception. Beautiful rooms and a pool. The bugs are out at night, especially as the hotel is close to a couple of ponds. The food at the restaurant was amazing!

i have been using this hotel for quite a long time now. i come here twice a year. the environment is supercool.it is safe and very clean?? the rooms are very nice . welcoming and friendly staff. the lake is one of the attractive part of tamboho hotel. i would like to make a suggestion to keep the common fridge outside the room where we used to get water bottle and soft drink anytime. pleaee restore the fridge as this one of the reason where people are attracted tonetay at the hotel. tye menue in the restaurant is very limited and has remain the same for quite a long time. kindly introduce different variety of food so that people can have a large choice. i am actually staying at the hotel until saturday 10 february. i have also notice a degradation in the restaurant during break fast. this how i am feeling now. Very cozy. Rooms are big, I had a balcony overlooking the pool. Staff supper friendly. Shops nearby and safe area.

Recommend this hotel in Antananarivo. Inside a village with some local shops and grocery stores. Staff is very friendly. The bathroom has a window looking into your room, which is a little weird but not a big deal if you're traveling alone.

5⭐free shuttle service
The only draw back is the traffic😱 it’s a NIGHTMARE. Does not matter what time of the day or night. Make sure you allowed plenty of time to go anywhere. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place and secure. You can walk around in the perimeter surrounded by security guards if you wish to do some shopping, foodcourt, cinema etc
