Huge place, perfect for a picnic or walking, jogging, and just breathing in some fresh air. Perfect for a family or a group of friends. Also has ample parking space and a public toilet. 500 kyats entrance fee, 200kyats for using the toilet.

A very large park and worth the entrance cost. The rides cost extra, but are very affordable. The restuarants serve great food for very low price. Lots of photo oportunities, walk around and have fun. Oh, and watch out for large scorpions on the sidewalk...this one was very thirsty as it was the dry season.

Enormous park which has a slew of fun activities itself, but none quite as great as taking in the enormous and dazzling nearby Shwedagon Pagoda.

For foreigners, there is an entrance fee of 5,000 kyats which is undoubtedly a bit steep, but if you allocate some time dedicated to making the most of this wonderful urban park, it is worth the price of admission.

Great place! Admissions is 300k.
There are roller coster, bumper cars, and other rides. Food- look for 1,000 lunch special menus. Rice, veggie, meat.
The price tickets for the rides are little expensive- even by Western standards.
You can walk to the Pagoda.
It is worth a visit!

* People's Square *

It is in the same compound with People Park and can walk through by a suspension bridge and other walk ways. There we can admire the splendid view of the western side of the Shwedagon Pagoda. There are green decorated plants, flower beds, fountain pond and a beautiful fountain with white elephant statues.
Evenings and early night times are the best time to take photos. One thing to take care is not to touch the water from the fountain pond. It may have electric shock.
At the southern part of the people's square , Yangon planetarium and Roller skate ground are located.

You can find anything here. If you want fun, you can enjoy attractions, if you want stay in quiet, go to south part of the park. There is small lake with many benches and places to sit. Many lovely couples sit here :) On the main road in the park is a lot of food stores and restaurant. Place is very popular to local people, minimum of tourists here. It's nice place. We pay about 1200 kyats per person for entry.

It is a place where you can do morning and evening exercises. You can go jogging and enjoy fresh air.

Besides, it maybe only one of the places in yangon where you can directly see and pay homage to the marvelous Shwedagon Pagoda.
