La Negra

One of the coolest and most delicious places in Bucerías. The clam chowder was one of the best I’ve had. Ever. And I’ve wanted clam chowder across New England. The pizza is thin wood fired and made fresh. The lamb burger was perfectly cooked and the tacos….pulpo, panza, bacon wrapped jalapeño, mushroom and cheese so manny choices and everything is amazing. The upstairs feels like a tree house and is worth the wait if you are not dining with kids. Our server was amazing made recommendations and brought the kids endless coloring sheets. We cannot wait to come back!

We have walked past this place at least 50 times and always said we need to stop and eat here to try it. Finally we had an opportunity and booked a reservation, (a reservation is recommended). Arrived and received our table right away even though our original reservation was for four people but, unfortunately, one of our friends became sick the day before. So, two of us sitting down. The menu is extensive, (as many pages for alcohol as there is for food). Lots of tasty choices here. This is not a Mexican restaurant, so, if you have had enough of Mexican food for a day or two, drop in here. Anyway, I digress. The food we chose was awesome. From the homemade pickles, to the wedge fries, to the margarita pizza to the portobello sandwich, everything was super good. I would recommend this place with the caveat that it is more expensive than your average restaurant in Bucerias.

Amazing food and great vibes. The cocktails are really tasty and we enjoyed trying some over agave liquors like sotol. The place is awesome, especially sitting upstairs with the DJ spinning. The food also does not disappoint. My favorite taco was the duck confit with mole, but the birria is to die for as well.

Excellent food. I sat on the terrace. There a lot of greenery. Very creative decor. I had a clam chowder which was my least favourite but the presentation with the crispy cheese was a nice touch. I loved the octopus carpaccio in olive oil and fresh lemon juice. The mahi mahi ceviche was very good in a creamy sauce. The bacon wrapped shrimp were delicious, and finished with a nice caramel gelato.

We got there right at 6pm when they open and were greeted with friendly, smiling faces. Our server was on it and brought the girls coloring pages right away. We had some tequila cocktails that were made to perfection (Cadillac marg, reg marg and Paloma) Get it with Cascahuin blanco, great tequila! We had about one of each taco and each and every one is made to perfection in their own right. Each served with homemade tortillas. The clam chowder was surprisingly delicious for being in Mexico, tons of clams and a yummy parm crisp topper. East coaster-approved. The lamb burger was a little dry, probably because they cook it medium well by default. I should’ve asked and changed it to medium. The royal burger was also spot on, although my friend ordered it well done (I know…) the girls devoured their pizzas so I’m gonna go with, kid-approved. Although not likely one that I would order for myself. A little bit doughy for my tastebuds and I like mine with a crisper crust. But definitely a winner w the kiddos. We will come back for sure.

2018; The house Mezcal was amazing. I want to know how to make the green chaser. The owner and staff were great. Best craft beer choices I have found in the bay. The sashimi tuna was perfect too. I'll be a regular.

My favorite hangout, never had a dissappointing experience in the 4 years I have gone there, staff are wonderful, the food and drinks are great and Hector the owner is an absolute gem

Favorite meal in all of Bucerías. We actually came here twice. The atmosphere is great. We loved the music and plants and decor. The food and drinks were all really great. Our favorite by far was the Big Boss Ceviche. Can’t wait to come back!

Great place, great vibe, amazing music and good food. If you're in the area and looking for a "younger" chic vibe in Bucerias this is your spot. They have great food and after 9PM the atmosphere becomes more bar-ish ideal for cocktails or a night out. Please do yourself a favour and try the octopus taco, pizzas are great and cocktails are a must.

Stopped by twice on a recent trip to Punta Mita and made the drive to Bucerias. The food, service, music and ambience are all incredible. Many healthy options to choose from and the price relative to places in Sayulita and surrounding areas is reasonable. Highly recommend checking them out if in the area.

Amazing ambience, vibe and energy!! Friendly bilingual service, excellent diverse menu. Food and drink quality and taste was our favorite so far visiting Bucerias. The owner noticed we were new and introduced himself and made us feel very welcome and special. Kid friendly, good value. Five stars!

Well we were back again and as always, spectacular.
What an amazing meal we enjoyed tonight. The chowder was outstanding. I also had the Taco-nacho and the Pastor De Pescado. Excellent flavor. I had a taste of the Octopus Carpaccio. WOW. My wife enjoyed the baked Panela and my friend devoured the sirloin burger. The best meal I have had in town. Thank you La Negra.
3 years later and it's still a great place to dine. Great pizza.

We loved it so much we ate here twice in one week. Amazing service and the food was so great. Highly recommend the Mezcalita Maracuya cocktail. The BEST octopus carpaccio. Delightful tuna sashimi and big boss ceviche. Also you have got to try the Taco Macho! A magical environment to dine in, surrounded by trees and a starry sky above.

We loved this restaurant so much that we went here 3 out of the 4 nights of our stay. Every meal was delicious. Staff is absolutely amazing. From owners, to our favorite upstairs bartender Rema (I know I am messing up the spelling so sorry?!). From the sashimi, to soups, salads, pizza, softshell crab.. there is something for everyone and everything is delicious. Mucho gracias for making our trip special, the entire team at La Negra!!!

One of the very best restaurants we've ever had the pleasure of dining at. Seriously. We'd come back to Bucerías just to eat here.

The service is world-class. The drinks - both alcoholic and mocktails - are outstanding. The guac? By far and away the best we've had.

We had dinner here twice in six days. Every single thing on the menu was even better than the last thing we'd tried. Standouts were the aguachido, guacamole, catch of the day, and inferno shrimp.

Of all the things we'll miss, La Negra (and Palma Bakehouse, just a couple of blocks away) tug at our heartstrings the most.

Such an amazing place!! The server we had two nights in a row was an absolute sweetheart and had a wonderful personality. The food was fresh and flavourful, my whole family left happy, full and satisfied. The rooftop area is absolutely gorgeous and we will for sure be making this a go to stop when we return to Bucerías! Definitely a must go place for amazing drinks, food, and friends!!

We were always welcomed there even on Christmas Eve when they were packed. We went back a little later that evening and got seats at the upstairs bar. We watched the ladies make amazing drinks. We went again another night and they squeezed us in again! Good pizza and the best drinks that we had in Bucerias. Best service too. We really like the vibe. The owner is always there and he and his staff are friendly and efficient.

So, so good. Had the rib eye and pork belly tacos and they were outstanding. Funky place with a cool atmosphere. Highly recommend it here.

Had dinner there last night. I had a taco macho basically 2 bacon wrapped cheese filled jalapeños in a tortilla and a ribeye taco. Wife had 2 portobello tacos.. she never eats more than 2… but ordered and ate a 3rd one. Ambiance upstairs was great. Service spot on and drinks good. When they get Mezcal back in stock, even better
