Leo's tacos grill

I think it's well known that Leo's super approachable and nice. Pretty much at the center of the climbing community at EPC. But I wanted to review the food cause it was delicious. I don't know how he keeps the chicken and pork so juicy but they were. Def worth the stop during your trip, it's like the Miguel's of EPC (RRG reference)

This is THE place to eat when climbing in El Potrero Chico. Leo is the friendliest person. His food is absolutely delicious.

He often serves buffet style food with chicken, ribs, rice and beans, quesadillas, and more. Has beer for a post climb cool down. The chicken may very well have been the best chicken I have ever had the pleasure to eat.

Leo told us with a day notice he can make something at our request. He made us Chicken Mole!!

It has a wonderful atmosphere where climbers and others can sit together, talk about their favorite climbs, and have a wonderful meal.

If you come to El Potrero Chico and don't eat here then you missed out. It's a MUST do!

Omg, this place is amazeballs!! The food was fantastic! Leo was serving an all you can eat buffet tonight featuring grilled chicken and sausage. The atmosphere is great, the room was filled with climbers, and Leo couldn't be nicer! The icing on the cake was Leo's pet chicken 🐔

This is THE place to go if you've been active all and and have built up an appetite. Leo typically prepares one main protein (chicken/pork ribs/beef/ etc.) with rice, beans, veggies. There is an assortment of sauces and you can turn the meal into tacos or have a traditional plate of food with sides. As of January 2024 the meal is 200 pesos/head.

There is a cooler in the back with drinks you can buy.

I ate here twice and would go again. Each time it was amazing. Leo is so welcoming and generous. The food is served buffet style with whatever meat he cooked up that day. If you let him know you are a vegetarian he cooks up something different for you on the spot.

Best place to eat in town. Food is plentiful and the place always has a fun vibe. Leo is great and super helpful.
Beer and food for everyone!

What a special spot!!! Leo’s cooking is the best thing a climber could ask for after a long day in the mountains. The food was absolutely delicious, and Leo was so friendly and kind! I will definitely be back for more of his inspired and comforting meals. He also has rooms to rent that are perfectly situated in between the mountains and town. If you are looking for a place to stay or eat near Potrero Chico, choose Leo’s!!!

Leo's is the best. There is no earthly sin better than indulging in his aggressively all you can eat grill.

When you find yourself rappelling in the dark, beat, tired, and hungry, the one thought that will be in your mind is 'I hope I get down before Leo closes'

Good food, beer, campfire, and karaoke machine. What more could you ask for! Leo is very friendly and makes good vegan / vegetarian food as well as meat, so everyone is happy. Stays open late also.

Leo has a fantastic oven and uses it to roast delectable meats. His meals are large, perfect for after a day of climbing, and he's friendly.

There aren't many choices here: Indio or Tecate for beer. He has one meat per day. It will be good, and it changes from day to day (pork, beef, chicken, goat, suckling pig). The place does not have a sink to wash your hands.

Leo is great! He was very welcoming and accommodating to our party of 8 after a long day of climbing. We let him know via Facebook the morning of what our headcount would be and he had the perfect amount of pork, chicken and a whole rack of ribs for us!! Couldn’t ask for better service.

Such a great atmosphere. Leo is a wonderful host and the food is just what I want after a long day in the canyon. Good meat, lots of vegetables and warm tortillas. Can't go wrong at Leo's.

Great BBQ and all you can eat, $200mxn per person and drinks not included. And there are parties from time to time. Leo is really great host and will talk with you also he found us a ride to hotspring as well!

The food keeps coming and you can’t stop eating it. The meat looked so good I had my first bite of chicken in 5 years, even though the vegan option was delicious as well. Leo is friendly and accommodating and he and his wife cook pretty much everything. Thanks Leo!

Leo is an amazing guy. Very nice and sweet person. The pig roasts was the best food I ate while in Mexico by far. Also a great place to load up on beer. 10/10!
