Nice place to visit and enjoy the day. You must eat the famous Quiroga's style Carnitas in the plaza. You'll find a really cheap prices in leather products, from jackets, shoes, hats, gloves, purses, etc.

Quiroga is such a crowded yet beautiful place. Recommend you try the canritas which are sold by pound on major streets and also a lady in the plaza that sells white pozole. It was my first time trying the white pozole and it was delicious with the salsa macha packed with flavor and not at all spicy. She was very nice and plate only costs about $35 pesos for small plate and large about $45 pesos.

Beautiful place with different decorations all year round. I come in July and each time looks different.

We visited Quiroga many times, last year on Dia De Los Muertos, Catrinas decorated the plaza, we love Quiroga for the food vendors specially the carnitas, the very best carnitas in the world. I have more videos posted on all our trips on my YouTube

Quiet place with lots of exquisite local food. They are not precisely healthy snacks but they are very tasty. The view is nice and it has all the feeling of a small mexican town from Michoacan. There are lots of handcrafted toys and souvenirs being sold in the surrounding area. Go for the food, stay for the experience

I believe this is where they have different vendors of carnitas if I remember correctly...and most offer free samples to get you to eat at their Post.
