A very little known national treasure. It's abundant natural springs, creating this beautiful lake with crystal clear water.

The water is beautiful and the food from the little "puestos" is delicious. My family and I went a couple of years ago and this year there were a lot of things that had changed. There were much less artisanal vendors and people selling food. It's still a really nice place to swim and walk. You could also listen to mariachi and small norteño music groups. If you want to listen to a particular song you have to pay them of course. The nicest bathrooms are closest to the entrance. Remember to take cash in order to buy anything and 5 pesos coins in order to use the restroom.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would!
I love this lake! It is so beautiful and peaceful.
I love to just look at the trees or just sit and watch the water.

The Mexican government is upgrading the sidewalks, restrooms, and some of the buildings around the lake, as it is a National Park.

Also, when you enter the park, you may want to drop off elderly family members or moms with strollers before you head up the hill to the parking lot. The walk down after you park your vehicle is dusty and steep in places.

It can get very busy during holiday seasons and weekends.
There is swimming and boating allowed, you can also rent a boat and a guide to take you around the lake.

You can bring a picnic lunch or buy food from one of the restaurants. There are also artisans that sell hats and souvenirs.

If you are visiting the state of Michoacán or just a nature lover, I highly recommend that you spend a few hours here. The beautiful old trees and the amazing color of the water make for impressive photos.

So we initially planned on just enjoying the few and only a few of us had swimsuits.

However by the middle of our trip the water was so inviting we all went in!!!

Luckily they have shops inside near the lake and they have floaters, swimsuits and snacks for sale.

We ended up all having a blast in the water! It is a Mexican Natural beauty

The sad part was we ran out of time to go on the boats that take you to the island, but we did rent a bike for four people and we road that around the lake! And that was very fun !

About 1 hr and half drive from Cojumatlan de Regules, Mich,Mex.

When you enter it doesn't look like much is there just land of farms and open beautiful land.
As you enter and pass the farmlands you'll notice a hotel on the right with its own water park. Looks pretty cool actually.

You have to pay to park. It's per person per vehicle. But it also gives you access to the park and I believe kids under certain age aren't charged.

Plenty full of parking at least on a weekday we went.

There are restaurant before entering the park and souvenirs stores.
The entrance to the park was spectacular for myself. I love scenery and nature and its was just a humbling and beautiful experience of what's to come.

The park was magnificent. The types of trees, lake water was crystal clear for the most part. The people thete

A beautiful lake surrounded by enormous trees growing just inside it. The water in the morning is super cold, and that gives the lake a great way to get cold therapy! Crystalline water, surrounded by trees, ducks, fish and great people everywhere

Beautiful park and the water so clean and clear. There's temporary restrooms (port-a-johns) while they remodel the permanent ones. You can swim almost anywhere in the lake except for the area where they keep the boats, kids can swim too because water is really shallow in some places. Bring your own food and beverages and just enjoy your day. Recommended!!!

Nature's beauty. I went on Friday 10/27/19. It was pretty lonely. I heard it gets full on the weekends. There was a mariachi available to sing. We took a ride in the lancha....it was amazing. They told us water was warm in the mornings. I am just finding out we could have camped out. We arrived early so left about 6 or 7pm. It it so beautiful that a couple used this place for a photo shoot of their pregnancy.

Simply stunning, out of this world picturesque scenery! You can enjoy a picnic or take advantage of the snacks and restaurants this amazing place has to offer. I highly recommend the boat tour, watch the fish swim around under these clear turquoise, natural spring waters. Take a cycling ride down the lake and discover more. Don't forget to walk over the hanging bridge for some beautiful selfies. There is an entrance fee per person. Clean bathrooms. Just an amazing time! Spend the day here.

Over the years more and more tourists visit from all over the world. It’s nice to see this place full of people, enjoying what Mother Nature has created. I hope everyone visiting respects and keeps it clean to continue to enjoy this magical place. Very inexpensive for a whole day of fun.
Entrance is under $2 dollars per person.
You can rent a boat for 30-40 minutes that paddle you out to enjoy the beautiful Lago. Our last visit we had a very informative with stories and tales about the Lago. This time our boat guide didn’t talk or share anything. The ride was nice we enjoyed it. It’s $150-$200 pesos equals = $8-10 dollars for 5-7 people on each boat.
Restaurant and bar sections are now available and serve food and drinks. No need to carry any food.
WATER SHOES are a MUST if you will be swimming in the Lago? The roots can hurt and make it difficult and slippery. Swimming, eating, just resting. A whole day to enjoy.

Loved it. This place is beautiful. It's small but the beauty of it makes up for it. There are boats you can get on or swim in the lake.

This place is awesome! This national Park is in my experiences fun relaxing people are very welcoming and attentive to the needs of the visitors. Park is clean, water in the lake is Crystal clear you can even see the fish and the roots of the trees inside the lake and expect the water to be cold but very relaxing lots of picnic tables to sit on. Or you can also hire a small boat with a rower man. I went on a Tuesday with several of my family members we had a good time. Musitions come by asking you to hire them to play a song of your choice for a small fee of $100 pesos equivalent to about $5.00 U.S. dollars.
Theirs also restaurants all around the crystal clear lake.
You've got to experience it for your self I can assure you will look forward to being back like my self.
Enjoy!
