Hacienda Petac

Our stay at Hacienda Petac was exceptional! The grounds are well cared for and the atmosphere is relaxing. The service warm and friendly. The cooking classes were fun and all food highlighted the fresh, local ingredients. I couldn't have imagined a better experience.

This place is incredible. Beautiful surroundings and Colleen is a great host. Only 6 of us on an Epicurean tour. I highly recommend. Huge, well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff spoils us. I would come again.

Hacienda Petac is a MUST visit location. Such a lovely place that has been restored to ultimate beauty. Colleen and her staff took exceptional care of our group of 12 family members. Each room has history that you see in every tile, door and furnishings.

A blend of old world with modern amenities. Architecture of the 1500s meets 21st century. Lush tropical gardens and fountains everywhere you turn. Fantastic pool set in the a relaxing setting. Outstanding game room with a huge HD TV. The kitchen prepares authentic Yucatan cuisine. Really now... what's not to like! Great place to be pampered.

FABULOUS STAFF! Fabulous FOOD! An ultra relaxing atmosphere! Paradise! Pool is divine, flowers decorate every spot you will sleep, sit, eat, and the cooking school is incredible. Spa! Workout Space! Massages, all PERFECT! Peaceful and a lovely tropical birdwatching retreat! Take some great books, because you will have the chance to relax and read!

My husband and I booked the Hacienda Petac for the first half of our honeymoon and it exceeded all of our expectations.

We were greeted right away by the lovely staff (who immediately took our bags to our room and gave us delicious beverages). Colleen, the property manager, then gave us the tour and shared some information on the Hacienda. She was a wonderful resource/translator during our stay and was so kind and helpful.

The property itself was absolutely gorgeous- I enjoyed a quiet morning just walking around and taking pictures! They did such a wonderful job preserving the history of the property while also creating a fantastic modern-day resort.

We felt like royalty during our stay. No attention to detail was spared. There were the most beautiful floral arrangements/designs in the bedroom, bathrooms, and at every meal, candles lined all of the pathways around the property, and you could sit almost anywhere and hear the trickling of water from their many fountains.
We enjoyed coffee on our patio every morning, the pool, the spa (don't forget to book a massage!), the game room, and never had to search for someone if we wanted something to drink or eat.

Speaking of! It was a such a treat to enjoy traditional Mexican dishes, full of flavor and presented beautifully. Every meal was an excited new dish and even lunches was three-course meals! There were also delicious liqueurs tucked away in all of the common spaces and fridges full of beer to enjoy- that's if you weren't already being handed a wonderful craft cocktail or glass of wine.

I could go on and on but we were already talking about our next visit on our second day. We can't wait to go back with a group and take advantage of their activities and classes. We did book a trip to Uxmal and a cenote while we were there and highly suggest it. Ask for Pepe! He was fantastic.

Hacienda Petac was the highlight of our honeymoon (nothing else quite lived up to that experience!). We would 100% recommend that if you want a truly special experience that trumps any "all-inclusive hotel" we've ever stayed at.

Exceptional! Colleen and her staff go out of their way to make your experience memorable, paying special attention to the details. From the start of our adventure to our departure, everything was taken care of - I'm already missing the phrase "Quieres algo para tomar? Agua? Jamaica? Margarita? Cerveza?"

Unique place. Beauty everywhere. Extraordinary accommodations and staff. Wonderful food. We had the place all to ourselves. Every detail is there.

If I can give more than 5 stars for service I will do 10!

Dev Stern and her amazingly capable manager, Colleen, have created an environment where dreams come true - dreams you didn't even know you had! We were lucky enough to be treated to a birthday surprise for a member of our party. Truly one of the most special evenings of my life. It began with a trio of Mayan musicians strolling up the path to our casita (they were amazing). After our private concert we floated along a candle lit path to the dining room, which had been transformed with very elaborate traditional Mexican birthday decorations. The grand finale was the birthday cake which looked exactly like a miniature version of our birthday girl. The care that was taken in every detail touched our entire party. We'll be back!

Absolutely amazing place, the service is awesome, great food and warm people. A beautifully renovated hacienda. Great old world charm. This is a hidden gem.

Very very nice, the place has emergency power to provide electricity.

Petac is beautiful only surpassed by the people that are employed there.
