Excellence Riviera Cancun

I've been to a few other resorts in Cancun and this one has been the best yet! The rooms are amazing and the pools and events are always fun! Antonio was the best server we had around the pool and theater by far! He'll take care of you if you get him for sure! Benjamin in the sports book is the guy to find if you head in there. The food was amazing in every restaurant but the Hibachi grill and the steakhouse are by far my favorites! Even the late night room service was always good! I would highly recommend to anyone reading this and would suggest to anyone I know! The only complaints I have are everything is tile and slick as heck when it's wet and everything's done by midnight.

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The food is great, especially Chez for dinner & Oregano for lunch. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. We loved having a swim out room, it’s like a private little paradise. We spent most of our time at our swim up sun bed and would pop into the lazy river to cool off and float around. The pool waiter Javier is amazing, he made our days so much brighter. He’s very personable & goes out of his way to make guests feel like royalty. Definitely recommend Thai resort

Room - We ended up upgrading to a king suite room for our honeymoon and were accommodated beautifully.

By the pool - the lazy river was fantastic and Javier gave the absolute best poolside service. Our drinks never empty, food, all of it. He made sure we were always happy and having a great time!
We would 100% come here again. Best first time all inclusive resort.

This was my 1st all inclusive vacation and we'll definitely return. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was very helpful & friendly... We were treated like royalty and we appreciate the special treatment. We upgraded to the 2 story, roof top terrace beach view and it was magnificent. The view was breathtaking and we enjoyed the cool breeze throughout the entire day & evening. My Son got married (on 18 May 2024) during our stay and the wedding coordinator/staff catered to our every wish. They went above and beyond to make sure the wedding went on without any problems. The dinner reception was fantastic, our meal was fresh, hot and delicious. Our waiters were very friendly and they made our evening even more enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our week here! It’s only about 20 minutes from the airport, the rooms are always clean and tidy, after our day at the pool. We were able to have Ivan most days, and he was extremely attentive and kind. He took great care of us. We also really enjoyed the restaurants here. The food was always top notch. Agave was my favorite! We had our meal there 3 nights. Marco was excellent, and always made sure we had everything we could want and made suggestions to the menu!

Our first all-inclusive resort, and we had a fantastic time! Beautiful architecture and grounds, great pools, and a nice beach. We stayed a week and tried 7 different restaurants, all of them served absolutely delicious food. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, although we only got there once. The room was quiet, comfortable, and well-stocked. What really stood out was the staff ... everyone greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel welcome across the resort. Super helpful checking in and out, and we treated ourselves to a massage in the spa which was worth every penny. Entertainment in the evenings was top notch.
Overall, one of the top vacations we've had and plan to come back again some day down the road.

Shared an incredible honeymoon here with my sweetie. But I would like to give a specific shout out to our server Fernando! (Spice restaurant 6/24/24) He gave us an incredible evening at dinner and was specifically attentive and always came over at the right times. He is kind and light hearted. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back to see Fernando again!

We came here for our honeymoon, and I can’t say enough how amazing all the staff has been. Views are absolutely gorgeous and everything is so clean and well taken care of! We have had horrible rainy weather 6 of the 7 days here, but the staff has made an extra effort to offer extra activities in the main area for people to enjoy their stay if they can’t be in the pool.

Amable , in particular, in the excellence club area was absolutely amazing getting us all the service and drinks we need. She even remembered our names and was always a ray of sunshine every time we saw her.

Alberto in Oregano was so kind and sweet, we went back twice! He remembered what we drank and ordered the last time.

We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again!

The rooms are so spacious and beautiful. The resort is so peaceful, clean, and has so many daytime activities to do once you’re done tanning by their many pools. And Javier the pool waiter we absolutely fantastic. Remembered all our orders, brought them in timely fashion, and was just an overall humorous and loving gentleman. Would recommend this resort to anyone on their honeymoon, anniversary, vacation with family, etc. Could not praise this place enough. 10/10

Awesome time! Servers are excellent. Javier is great at making sure my drinks are always cold and full! Rosario did a phenomenal job on my spa treatment. Abraham was so attentive during my hydrotherapy. Food is great, everyone greeted us with Hola and a smile. Already booking our next trip!

We had an amazing experience. Great pool, great restaurants, and great service. Antonio gave us tremendous poolside service. William at the Agave restaurant was very polite and also provided excellent service. Also, the Hibachi restaurant Spice was fantastic. Oscar made our experience very enjoyable and prepared excellent Hibachi food. We loved it here!

Wow this was above and beyond all my expectations! This was my first trip to an all inclusive and although I was skeptical about them in the beginning my opinion has changed completely. I was so comfortable from the moment we were picked up throughout the entire stay. I never went hungry or thirsty the entire time mostly thanks to Moises, the most excellent waiter. He was fun and friendly and fast. We would seek him out to sit in his section every day. Agave had the best food by far and the swim up bar Blue was my favorite and was always fun and busy! Everything we could possible need was provided except I would recommend you bring your own sunscreen as it’s quite expensive in the small store at the resort. Entertainment was great and there are plenty of pools and beach spots to choose from! I absolutely recommend this spot and will definitely consider excellence for my future travels!

The server Adrian was absolutely amazing, he was so Attentive, and made us feel so special and acted as if we were his personal guest. Chef David food was delicious, particularly the presentation of the potato leek soup. Additionally, the lamb was cooked to perfection temperature. An overall 10/10 experience!!!! Marco, The pool boy, waiter was absolutely amazing, and was very attentive with our drinks❤❤❤❤

My wife and I took our honeymoon here, and felt very accepted! While the weather has not been great (only 2 days have been cooperative of our 7 days), the staff has come up with activities, been INCREDIBLY friendly and gone over the top to make sure our stay was satisfactory at best. We are really happy that we booked our honeymoon here. Nobody can control the weather but we have had a wonderful time regardless. Thank you especially to Amable in the excellence club and Alberto in Oregano for being our favorite staff. They truly became our friends during our week here. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The best Mexican cuisine I have ever had! This was our first time in Cancun, and we are very much looking forward to trying to make it back just for this delicious meal! Our server, David, went above and beyond for us and was so hospitable during our meal. I cannot recommend this resort, and specifically the Agave restaurant, enough! Great job, David!

Daniel, our concierge, had made this such a special trip…arranging a palapa daily, stopping by with chocolate and special drinks, always checking to be sure we have everything we need!

The name speaks for itself, everything was EXCELLENT! Firstly, the hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport so you can start having fun shortly after arriving. The hotel and amenities are so well thought out with so much to do. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, I didn't meet a single staff member that didn't deliver on customer service. I'm typically not a huge fan of food at all inclusive resorts but they had the best food I've had BY FAR in Cancun. There was so much to do on the resort that we regretted booking so many excursion and not giving ourselves more time to enjoy all the activities the resort provided. I definitely recommend reading the dress code policies of the restaurants on their website because they are VERY STRICT and will not let you in, so make sure you pack accordingly so you don't miss out on restaurants you'd like to visit. Overall a phenomenal experience!!!

Sept 2023: Everything about this place is fantastic. Book- you will not be disappointed. We did months of research and ultimately chose this place because of the food reviews. But it delivered so much more than that. The food WAS incredible. Every meal, fresh and we felt healthy all week. But the service blew our mind. Thank you to Adrian, Paco, and Efrain. The staff were so kind, going above and beyond. And remembering our favorite drinks, they’d have them refreshed without asking. These are hardworking professional teams providing a true luxury experience. We went non-club and had a fantastic time. The activities are fun and the evening entertainment is great (we are a younger couple). This has set the bar so high for us, it will be hard to go anywhere else. This place is worth the price.

Incredible vacation. Staff were amazing, particularly Moises - thank you for always ensuring we had everything we needed and that our glasses were never empty. You could tell that many returning customers knew you from years prior.

Whole resort was incredible, the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure you had everything you needed, we upgraded to the excellence package which I cannot recommend enough. Private bars, beaches, rooms - well worth the extra money.

Thank you all for looking after us and we cannot wait to return again next year.

This resort is the best! The service is unbelievable. Antonio on the Lazy River was a great server, fast, friendly, always willing to go the extra mile. Carlos at the kitchen table for breakfast was the best, learned my preferences after 1 meal. Armando at the front desk super helpful. I stopped in to the medic with a question and he was amazing too (and correct with his advice). Can't say enough positive things about this place. We rebook with a week of arriving home.
