El Lucero

Samuel and Pamela were wonderful servers who took awesome care of us. The food was outstanding - and the price was too low for what we received. Everything tasted so good. We’ll be back next week for more goodies. The shrimp tacos were fresh and super tasty and the pork gorditas was nestled in a fried blanket of goodness, not too heavy but filling.

It was our first time in Merida and this place came up in our search for places to have dinner. We had actually thought of going to another place but the live music really drew us in. We were not disappointed whatsoever. Service was excellent, appetizers hit the spot and waiter’s recommendation of the Poc Chuc was on point. Will be coming back to dance Salsa to live band tmrw night after we grab dinner somewhere. Staff was lovely, ambiance and lighting was great!!

If you have not been to El Lucero since it's renovation... GO!
Go before 1.30pm on a Sunday else line up around the block, if driving stop at the door on 56 then valet takes car across the street (3 deep, 15 wide plus).
Go for Live music after 3.00pm, packed to the gills, 4 generations worth. Wonderful botanas graded by number of drinks...

This restaurant is huge but you’ll never feel overlooked. The servers are extremely attentive and kind. Roberto went above and beyond to make sure the bar got our drink order correct since we technically ordered off-menu. We were also greeted with a platter of appetizers on arrival. Cannot recommend this place more. Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere! Also…LIVE MUSIC! We will absolutely be back.

Super friendly service, great drinks and guacamole... too full to order dinner, we'll be back. It was pretty loud, but hay, why not.

Very tasty food. Good portions. We had mixed Ceviche, poc chuc Nachos - possibly the best Nachos I have ever had - really 😋 marg with baby Corona and breaded shrimp tacos.
Alberto best server so far, great effort to speak English. Would definitely come back.

Great place for dinner and live music. Heard one of the best voices this weekend and loved every song they sang. Food was good and server was attentive. The Sopa de Lima is served at the table. Ceviche was on purple corn tostada, my favorite. Can’t wait to go back.

El Lucero food and service was amazing and I highly recommend it. Will come back for sure!

You have to try the flan when you come, it is made in house and one of the best I have ever had!

I'll highly recommend this place for newcomers who are looking for a traditional experience blended in a modern and artistic atmosphere. The food, the music, the aesthetic all come together to a chef's kiss experience.

Great time in this beautiful place! I came here with a friend because a local had recommended El Lucero. We were not disappointed! We had a beer each and were offered several snacks as you can see in the photo. We enjoyed ourselves and were never hungry again when we left! It's really cheap, I 100% recommend it.

I really like and enjoy El Lucero

Great "Family Bar" near el Paseo de Montejo. A round of refreshments, and they serve you small portions of the local cuisine as appetizers, included in the price of the drinks. Live music or dj for entertainment. Love it.

We enjoyed the food samplings, Garlic Shrimp Tacos, Orange Drinks, and the indoor environment. We recommend this restaurant.

This is definitely a party place where you can be happy get away from all the covid madness. I felt I was back in time when people enjoyed themselves with dancing, food and great drinking. Superior service, love the salsa and DJ music, good ambiance, safe and secure☺👌🏾☺🇲🇽

Both inside and outside tables, live music at outside tables when I arrived, music tv inside by bar. Mostly locals visiting, afternoon. Snacks offered and given free when buying drinks. Since I was at the bar with few other customers I had no problem getting service when I needed. I went here due to recommendation and to try out the Relleno Negro, which was really nice to try. Can imagine it's really great going with family or friends.

There was only 1 gentleman serving but he absolutely hustled. Drinks were big and good. And there was live music, the band was playing early 2000’s hits. Fantastic experience
