(Plaza Chica) Plaza Gertrudis Bocanegra

My favorite town in Michoacán alongside Morelia. This plaza has some of the best local Mexican food I’ve ever had for the best prices I’ve ever seen in a popular town. Beautiful, old, historical, and romantic setting with a humble local vibe. I recommend the birria de borrego, tacos, tamales, enchiladas, and various soups.

This is a beautiful square in a beautiful city. We loved getting to visit patzcuaro, michoacan. And if we are ever in the area we would definitely go back.

Loved it this are vendors on a street corridor in Pátzcuaro Michoacán in Mexico but they are very clean, delicious food, prices are very reasonable.

We were just passing through the city and stopped to do some shopping and get a agua fresca. We happened to be there the day of the Corpus Cristi celebration parade.

Very old, historical. (Read up on the history). Plenty of seating. Shady and sunny areas. Traffic passes around all sides, but not too distracting. Well keep. Clean.

The plazas in Pátzcuaro are wonderful places to stroll, have coffee, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Gift shops with quality artesan crafts cannot be understated.

Rustic, original buildings from the 1,400s. Beautifully maintained, very clean streets, with a real sence of pride from the locals.
