Archaeological Site Yucatan Ake

The site is well maintained. The tour guide is what made the trip, and that will be different for everyone

Pretty cool archaeological Zone off the beaten path a little bit but is not overly large. If you're out this way is worth popping in to see you. Also about 200 meters away from the ruins is a old factory where they made twine. If you like old Machinery it's definitely worth checking that out as well!

A small site, but packed with intrigue. The msin plaza has structures on three sides. On the walk to the site is a hacienda in ruin, which also worth checking out.

Pleasant surprise as our tour was changed from mayapan. Rich in history and culture, this is a once in a lifetime place most will never get to see. Ask questions, soak it all in.

Very cool to see an older timeperiod site with different architecture thansome of the more well know sites. It also has some residential ruins. Plus, it's very much off the beaten path and we were the only ones there during our hour long stay.

Fantastic ruins, partly taken over by nature and we were the only visitors that day! There is also a yarn(?) production warehouse next door with really cool old machinery in use, also worth checking out.

I was impressed of the beauty of the pirámides, and the great condition the place is. Working people there deserve an A+++.

It is a place to go, you won't regret.

Secluded not a lot of people milling around. You can actually explore this area. And there is a new temple being uncovered.

Hermoso lugar de cultura maya. Lugar donde se puede subir y explorar más cerca de la edificaciones. Unas muy elevadas. En la zona hay cenote, y digamos 4 edificios toda vía conservados. Entiendo que en los alrededores hay otras edificaciones. As pequeñas pero no han sido limpiadas y están entre montes. Su plaza principal entre las edificaciones es muy amplia y bonita. El lugar es poco concurrido. Lara llegar es entrando por el poblado de tixkokocob hacia ekmul. Hay u a hacienda a un costado de la zona. Se dice que muchas piedras de la zona sirvieron construir la hacienda en la época de los españoles. Hay venados . Lugar es hermoso y vale la pena visitarlo.

La ocupación de Aké se inició desde el Preclásico Tardío (300 a. C.-300 d. C.) y continuó hasta el Posclásico (1300-1450 d. C.). Aké alcanzó un alto nivel urbano desde época muy temprana y sostuvo relaciones con sitios como Izamal, al cual se unió mediante un sacbé de 32 km de largo y su influencia llegó hasta la región Río Bec en Campeche y Cobá en Quintana Roo. Aké consta de dos sectores delimitados por sendas murallas concéntricas. La interior limita el área ceremonial, mientras que la exterior circunscribe la zona habitacional del sitio. En la parte central del sitio se encuentra la Estructura 1 o De Las Pilastras, denominada así porque en la parte superior tiene una gran sala hipóstila que seguramente sostuvo una de las techumbres más grandes de su tiempo

Horario: Lunes a domingo de 8 a 17 h, todos los días del año.
Costo: $75 pesos. Las personas físicas que acrediten su residencia en México están exentas del pago los días domingo.

Es una zona muy bonita, aunque es algo "pequeña".

Si ya vas a dar la vuelta a conocer este lugar muy bonito te recomiendo pasar también al tour del henequen!

Vier relativ gut erhaltene Pyramiden in der Nähe einer alten Hacienda und Sisal Seilfabrik.
Wir waren an einem Samstag Nachmittag da und außer uns war nur eine Familie auf dem ganzen Grundstück .
Der Eintritt kostet für Erwachsene 45 Peso - soweit ich verstanden habe ist der Eintritt am Sonntag für Mexikaner frei.
Die Anlage ist gut gepflegt groß und touristisch überhaupt nicht überlaufen- oder erschlossen- sprich es Gebt weder die sonst üblichen Souvenir Stände und Verkäufer, aber eben auch keine Restaurant oder Toiletten.
Für Archeologisch Interessierte ist diese Anlage auf alle Fälle einen Besuch wert - ansonsten kann man sie „auf der Fahrt mitnehmen „ wenn man sowieso in Izamal war um dort das Kloster und die Pyramide zu sehen.
Leider war bei unserem Besuch die vierte Pyramide noch geschlossen .
Die alten Sisal Seilfabrik ist teilweise noch in Betrieb erinnert aber eher an „lost placed“ für Interessierte an alten Maschinen und Industrie Eisenbahnen ggf. auch einen Blick wert ( siehe Fotos).
Insgesamt hat sich für mich der Abstecher von Izamal auf dem Rückweg nach Mérida gelohnt.
Wie fast überall in Yucatan ist es empfehlenswert Sonnenschutz und Wasser mit zu bringen.
