Wow, the cenote is amazing! The tarzan rope is really there :)
We came on Thursday morning and there was no one all the time we were there!
The water stinks but just a bit. But the showers weren't working so I was concerned that I couldn't wash it off, but got no pimples in the end.
It is not allowes to wear sunscreen or repellent (but no one checks of course)
You can swim with or without life west.
The price is also super low (sth like 80 pesos) and free parking (at least on that day)

Que magnifico! An open/closed type of cenote with a 2-story staircase, Tarzan rope swing, clear water, fish, and more. The price was very good and it's remote enough to not be crowded, just drive slowly on the last quarter mile of rough road. You can also rent snorkel masks at the entrance and mandatory life jackets are included.

Excellent large cenote. We arrived as the Golondrinas were exiting, which added to the magic and excitement! We jumped off the platform on the far left, as well as the rope swing :) They charged us 50 pesos each, with no discount for 7 people.

The caves are absolutely beautiful and it was definitely worth it. It does take an hour to get there but our tour guide Milady and driver, Tomas, were amazing and made it a n enjoyable experience!

Off the beaten path but not a crowded cenote. Very nice and relaxing and you can spend the night at a cabin here for 350 pesos. A lot of cenotes to explore in this area.

Visiting Homun for the cenotes was great. Cenote Yaxbacaltun was one of our favorites. We were there alone and you could use the rope to swing in the (really clear) water.

The Cenote was my favorite. For 50 pesos it was so worth it. Wasn’t very crowded even for a Sunday. One of the staircases was broken and there are probably too many fish- so they probably can use some repairs but for the cost it was worth it!

Our first cenote and it was super fun. It was empty when we got there at 930am and only had a few other groups show up for the 1.5 hours we were there. Cool water was enjoyable and the changing rooms and bathrooms were clean.

Drove from Merida to izamal and then to the Cenote Yaxbacaltun it was a 51 min drive. There is a small dirt road (7min) that takes you there. It was 50 pesos to get in and they provide a life vest. The water temperature is about 72 degrees. It's amazing.

We were alone at this cenote. It's a very beautiful one. The dirt road is in bad condition but we managed to get there with our rental Chevrolet beat. The entry was 100$M for both cenotes Chunkuy and this one.
