We had a wonderful time with Raul! He shared so much history and culture of Oaxaca and showed us great restaurants, markets, and a panadería. I would highly recommend this tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Abril! She was really knowledgable and passionate and we learnt a lot not only about Oaxaca but Mexican culture in general. We have done a lot of walking tours and this was by far the best. Even though we had a smaller group she gave 110% and it was obvious she enjoyed sharing about her hometown too. Make sure you tip well :)

Our tour guide Raul was an absolute delight and we learned so much about Oaxacan history and culture in the two hours that we spent together!! He covered so much history and context for the political and environmental forces that have shaped the city and surrounding country side over the years. He is SO passionate about sharing the beautiful art, delicious food, and craftsmanship of the locations highlighted by the tour. And he is so funny 🤣🤣

There was absolutely no pressure to spend money during the tour, and we even saw people from our group returning to places that he called out later in the day (they were excellent recs, ofc). Thanks so much Raul!!

My husband I were on the tour today with Raul.
The city on its own is amazing, but Raul makes it even more interesting and gives it soul by talking about the history of the city and the region, about the people who live here and everything that can be experienced in the city.
Lovely person and a great guide.
I would definitely recommend the tour!

Our tour guide, April, was full of energy. Every description and explanation (in perfect English) was punctuated with an outstretched arm or a leap. She was like a cheerleader for Oaxaca. Not only that, she was very opinionated- about, art, food, and politics. It made for a very fun and informative tour of this amazing city. Although it’s free, and if you enjoyed it as much as we did, please leave her a nice tip.

Amazing tour, so much information and lots of fun. The walking is easy and there is sooooo much to see that you otherwise wouldn't know about. Our guide was April and she was very energetic and knowledgeable, with perfect English.
Don't think twice, do the tour and tip the guide!

My friends and I really enjoyed this thorough, informative tour. Our guide Gesenia had a real passion for the city's culture, architecture, food, and people. She did a great job explaining not only the history of the city and state of Oaxaca but also some of the important issues impacting Oaxaca today. She was also knowledgeable about cool things to do in the city and region. Definitely worth adding this tour to your Oaxaca itinerary.

My husband and I were on the free walking tour yesterday and our guide Djannh was nothing short of AMAZING! Talk about someone that knows the history of his home and culture. The charisma, enthusiasm, and passion he had when telling us the stories made it so interesting. You can count on understanding the rich history of the beautiful city of Oaxaca, exploring the symbolic places of the historic town, and receiving top recommendations for food, mezcal, Cafés, and places to further explore during your stay! Enjoy Oaxaca!

I’ve done dozens of free walking tours around the world, and Dejean was the best guide I have ever had. He covered it all - history, culture, food, and so many tips and tricks for Oaxaca. I highly recommend doing this tour if you’re in Oaxaca.

Absolutely amazing tour! Fantastic English-speaking tour guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city. She was clearly very passionate about the history and culture of Oaxaca city and translated that into an excellent tour. We got to see a lot of places off the beaten track which really gave insight to the beautiful city. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Oaxaca, not just for first timers either as she offered a lot of alternative views and places to visit!

Raul did an awesome job in showing us Oaxaca, explaining food, culture and traditions. He also gave us recommendations where to eat and which other places to visit - highly recommend doing the English speaking tour with him to learn more about history, culture and food. Raul - keep up the good work

Had an incredible time for both the food tour and the walking tour. The food tour with Raul was full of amazing food in hidden gems of Oaxaca. We stayed in El Centro. Making it easy to know our surroundings afterwards. Dejan gave us insights on galleries, artists, and historical buildings. With a unique perspective and open mind to sit and have deep talks. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to learn about culture.

One of the best walking tours I’ve ever done. Tony was knowledgeable, engaging and organized a great itinerary for us in the city.

We were lucky to be the only ones in the group so it turned out to be a private tour. Tony was flexible and we stopped at different places along the way.

I’m totally sold on free walking tours in every city I visit after this.
