Best breakfast in Barra. The breakfast sopes are my favorite. My husband loves the poblano omelette. Friendly, professional service and delightful tropical decor. A local treasure.

We've now been to Bananas for breakfast a couple of times and each time it was excellent. It's in a great location right on the beach. If you are lucky you can watch the rays jumping out of the water.

I've tried both the chilaquiles and the chicken breakfast burrito. Both were excellent. They make the best salsa verde around. The service was very quick and friendly. I can't wait to try their dinner menu!

Bananas Restaurant on the 2nd floor of Hotel Barra de Navidad. Ate here 7 mornings, and each and every experience top notch. Excellent breakfast selections. Bacon, ham, and banana pancake is off the hook good. Friendly hard working professional staff.

Beautiful place, really good breakfasts, good service and fair price

UPDATE March 2024. New location west of Hotel Barra where they had been. Nice place, decorated for fun. Service and food are just wonderful. No ocean view now but you won’t miss it if you’re there for delicious, reasonable priced breakfast and lunch. Recomiendo!

Food was great. Went there 3x service was fantastic everytime but once. It wasn't brutal but it was pretty slow. View is fantastic and will definitely go back.

Excellent place to have breakfast! Great view of bay from 2nd floor veranda. Banana pancakes are the best especially if you add a side of their thick sliced bacon. Omelettes, breakfast burritos, waffles, pancakes, what's not to like. We visit every year when in Barra de Navidad.

Bananas is a wonderful restaurant with a lovely, ocean-view patio. The food is simple, delicious, and consistent. There are enough options to satisfy everyone.

The service is unfailingly courteous and polite. They do not hesitate to move tables around and accommodate when you walk in with a group of 11.

Every time we stay in Manzanillo we take a trip to Barra just to eat at Bananas. We have a few favourite dishes when we come here, yet everything we have ever tried here is delicious. My favourites are Molletes (fresh bolillo with refried beans and cheese on top, served with pico de gallo and salsa roja) and the Banana Pancakes. I'm not even a pancake person, yet I love their pancakes!

Today we tried a new dish on their menu, the Poblano Omelette, and it was to die for! Poblanos, mushrooms and corn were inside, plus it was topped with a tasty poblano cream sauce. This was served with hashbrowns, warm corn tortillas and toasted bolillos which gave lots of different options for different bites.

They serve breakfast until noon and then they open up later on for dinner. The breakfast menu has so many delicious items, it will be hard for you to choose... Mexican breakfast specialties, combos with eggs, burritos, assorted pancakes and French toasts. To top it all off, the view is spectacular! Make the trip out here even if it is out of your way.

This place has the best breakfasts. Get the huevos rancheros. Good coffee, great service. The view is the best.

We had enjoyed breakfast at Bananas but never dinner. Tonite we enjoyed a most delightful and delicious dinner there.
