Went on a mangrove tour here with Gerardo. He's so knowledgeable about the local ecosystem. We enjoyed every minute of it, saw many crocodiles, and learned a lot. Highly recommend.

Visiting the Museo del Cocodrilo was an awe-inspiring experience. Walking through the mangroves to the museum entrance felt like a trip to prehistoric times. A perfect destination for nature lovers.

Great value. The boardwalks are kinda sketchy but that's part of what makes the experience. Pretty cool.

Very reasonable entrance fee. $30 p for adults, $10p for kids. The boardwalk is a little uneven, but seems solid. Nervous Nellie's need not apply, especially when you reach the suspension bridges.

Small museum with students to explain the life cycle of the crocodile (mostly Spanish speaking), and the nursery where they will often let you hold a 3-4 year old Croc. Tips accepted.

Our kids make us come every time we are in la Manzanilla.

Loved this place. You can get really close to the crocodiles, safely, and there is a lot of information to read and staff to provide you with information. The museum was very interesting.

For the first time in my life I saw a real crocodiles, it only costs 2 USD, inside there's a museum and you can take a picture with baby crocodiles if you want. Take care of your children, there isn't surveillance across the board, do not take unnecessary risks by feeding or trying to get best picture of reptilian animals, it can be dangerous if you fall into the water.
Don't forget to take a picture in the beginning of town haha, it seems so real...!!!

Great place to get close to some crocs, and also to spot other wildlife. Friendly and informative staff. I wouldn't call myself a birdwatcher but the evening bird tour was excellent, English or Spanish, Gerardo is super knowledge and very eco-conscious. Proceeds help preserve the croc population as well as mangrove ecosystem.

A personal must-see whenever I'm in La Manzanilla. One had "escaped" and walked across the road. Exciting!

If you are near La Manzanilla you have to check this place out, large crocs in their natural habitat...a big mangrove lagoon/swamp. The suspended walkway is 720 m long and goes around thru the mangroves plus there's a neat monkey bridge walkway over the lagoon. You can get within 3-4' of these monsters and get to hold a baby croc at the end of the walk at the breeding pens. It takes about 25 mins to walk around at a leisurely pace and only costs 30 pesos. Well worth a visit.

Amazing little boardwalk through the mangrove swamp. Super close up views of the crocodiles. They recently added a museum which includes a real skeleton.
We had the opportunity to hold a baby croc.

If you are looking for great food, atmosphere and staff definitely stop by. Even a great place to spend a few nights. If you just want piece and quiet, a place where you really want too be away from all of it. Highly recommend!
