A nice fresh to try fresh fishes

Good to know that the boss loves fishing and he sometimes offer his catches to the customers.

The fried belt fish is a must try. The grilled sotong is good. The assam red fish is their signature..

Of course, do not forget the freshly handmade otak

I would give 5 stars just for the asam pedas fish. Gorgeously fresh ( it must have been swimming this morning). A lovely meal of sotong goreng (savoury), prawn petai, braised stingray ala Muar, sweet potato leaves, steamed otak otak, fried dragon tongue and deep fried egg.

Very authentic taste. The asam pedas is different from what you get at a Malay restaurant.
My favourite is the fried tonguefish.

Stopped here on our way home from Muar, and man am I glad we did! I’ve seen a few people say it’s pricey - I disagree. For the portions and quality, I felt it was quite fair. The assam pedas stingray was awesome, though their assam pedas is different from any place I’ve ever been. The fried tongue fish and the fried sotong were divine, but the sambal prawn with petai was not spicy at all. It still tasted nice, but it’s weird without the heat!

Can’t wait to come back here again soon!

When they say when u at muar, you need to visit this place for their assam fish. Of cos the fish is fresh, even if this place more expensive than the rest. This is still the place to go when u in muar.

A place that I never missed for lunch when I'm in Muar. Otak-otak is one of the best here which I usually packed home to share with my family ☺

Sotong is delicious!I ate it around 2 so it was not to hot especially with the multiple fans around the restaurant. I recommend the steam fish and fried sotong! Worth it even though kinda far from Muar city centre.

Not easy to find food that's tasty and yet not have too much sodium in it - this is one of those rare finds.

Standout dishes are of course the assam-stingray and sambal-udang-sotong which go so well together. Good value, delicious. Definitely worth a visit between Muar and Batu Pahat. A return is a must!
