Dropped by on a Tuesday afternoon around 4:30pm. Parking was a bit of a challenge and I noticed there’s a multi-story parking attached to the market - perhaps it’s the same one as UTC?

Very clean market with some interesting goods on sale, but many stores were closed by the time I visited.

The public washrooms cost 20 sen to use, and to be fair they were kept pretty clean too.

Biggest wet market in Malaysia I was told, in truth, there are 3 to 4 market combat into 1 structure. Upstairs is filled with food stalls, free sitting vendors will deliver food to your table. Be sure to tell them your table no. It is also joined to UTC Sibu. So, while having errands to do like renewing road tax, licences, or renewing passport. Might as well eat something here.

From the farm to the sea... And before or after you shop, you can have your breakfast on the 1st floor... Lots of choices from many of the stalls...near the main staircase there's a stall selling Malay kuih, nasi lemak... Yet to try the nasi lemak but a must buy is 'kuih kura² & donut'... There's also 'tukang kasut' which is rare nowadays... I love the local produce especially petai... 🤣

Largest wet Market in Sibu. The price of goods is okay, not expensive but not too cheap. Second floor, i don't know which food stall to go.. I wish I could identify which shop is muslim friendly, vegetarian by the color of the shops. Parking fees start from Rm1. Got government offices (UTC)

The market is a bustling hub of activity, with a vast array of vendors selling their wares. The building itself is large, with high ceilings and wide aisles that accommodate the crowds of shoppers moving from one stall to the next. There are countless options available, from fresh produce and meats to household goods.

As you enter the market, the first floor is dominated by a food center. The aroma of cooking fills the air as vendors offer a dizzying selection of local and international cuisine. There are long rows of food stalls serving up everything from traditional street food to gourmet dishes. Customers can choose from an impressive variety of foods, including soups, noodles, rice dishes, grilled meats, sandwiches, desserts, and more. The seating area is large and comfortable, with tables and chairs scattered throughout, making it easy to enjoy your meal amidst the bustling atmosphere.

Beyond the food center, the market continues with vendors selling clothing, accessories, home goods, and more. It's a shopper's paradise, with something for everyone. The sheer size and variety of the market can be overwhelming, but the energy and excitement of the experience make it a must-visit destination.

If you're looking for a good place to find a wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, and meat from all over Sarawak, I would highly recommend visiting this market. They have a lot of interesting merchandise too here!

A very big market that sells all kinds of things from the wet market such as Udang Galah, local vegetables and fruits, local baskets and handicrafts, and food at the upper level. Ample parking lot but don't park by the roadside as the traffic police will give you a ticket for that. One of the must places to go in Sibu.

It took us 2.5hours drive to reach the Fish Market from Sibu. By then it was already passed the peak hour. All the hype and activities has died down with only a small numbers of fish mongers selling the remaining catch.

This place is huge! Neatly arranged, they've divided it into dry and wet market. Place is very busy, parking is hard to find. Watch out for humans crossing the road when youre driving. Nice place to buy kek lapis as souvenir, they have tester and their cake is fresh. First floor houses local eatery shops which are not too expensive. Having their UTC on the top floor makes everything more convenient.

It's a must visit place in Sibu. Basically tells you the daily lives of Sibu. You can find variety of food stalls at 1st floor. Then can roam on ground floor for dry and wet products / grocers. Opposite the central market you can find the old and traditional shops as they are located on the oldest streets of Sibu. The market is clean & air circulated well and surprisingly they maintained very clean toilets.

For those travels in own transport, I strongly suggest you purchase parking coupons earlier as most of the street parking requires parking coupons. Or else, you can always park at the Central Market parking floors which is quite convenient. Morning is normally quite busy so parking availability is limited. Its best to come here by walking if your hotel is walking distance.

A very big modern market where you could find almost everything you need for your entire kitchen, famous kek lapis and ikan terubuk masin. Also, you could find Sarawak's handicafts here.

The largest n the best market in Malaysia with multi-storey market attached. It has everything under one roof. It is well organized, clean and not stuffy. UTC is an additional super advantage. Compare to other markets like pasar payang/khadijah or KK, this is better than them.

"A must" visit while in SIBU !!!!
Either you are a local or traveller, this Central Market is huge, the biggest indoor market in Sarawak, and also in Malaysia. You can find almost the daily food here, ranging from wet market to dry market, meat, fish, prawn, various of shells, some natives with their wild fruits, vege, handicraft, and amazingly sago worm.
Many eateries of food stalls as you go one floor up, at the end of 1st floor, some clothing stalls, household items, sundry merchandise. Majority of the stalls are still run by local old folks or their new generation. I miss the most. Is the *Teochew kampua Mee*, without any luck, as the owner opens his stall on certain days only (Saturdays & Sundays) as told by nearby stall owner, but certain occasions, the owner may not open too. Those Sibu kia would know this "Teochew Kampua Mee"

This is my favorite market place in Sibu and perhaps the best among all the wet market that I’ve been to. The place is huge (largest in Southeast Asia). On the ground floor, You can find everything you need for everyday cooking. Multiple kuih stalls for snacking and breakfast. There’re some clothing stalls and food stalls on the second floor. Clothes are not very fashionable and probably not for the taste of younger generations. Plenty of food stalls on second floor, only tried a couple before, both not to my taste and one the store that sell rice dishes is terrible at service.
