Lenggong Archaeological Museum

The main museum is under renovation till end 2024 according to the guard. The smaller mini exhibit still contains a lot of key information and artifacts. If you want to visit the caves you will need a guide. Call Majlis Daerah Lenggong and they can give you a contact. Both the museum and the Majlis were super helpful 👍👍👍 when I called.

The main exhibition hall is still under renovation. However, the small-temporary gallery is opens to public. We’ve spent about 15mins in that small hall. Very informative, they even have a replica of perak man.

As of the time of visit, early September 2023, most of it is still in renovation. However, exhibitions such as the Perak Man and a few more are displayed in a sizeable room.

Updated on 13th May 2023. It's still under renovation and only small exhibition room is available. There are some information stands, Perak man replica and several items more. View tower is also not available. Operating hours time is till 5pm.
Updated on April 2022. It's still closed and visitors are not allowed entry inside.
Kajah cave was open and unlocked today but unfortunately a lot of leeches in that area in this season.

It is very nice, new, located in beautiful quiet place. But quite far from Lenggong center (around 10km) and no public transport. Only people with vehicles can access it easy.
I am very sad that cave area is not open for visitors now and not maintenance well. It could be great to visit for every one to know and feel our history.
It is free of charge and operated hours 9am-5pm

Great museum of our heritage! Perak man, the caves, the bronze age history, the archaeological explorations record and the collections are all very informative. May consider putting in more advanced digital technologies to privide more interactive experiences to the visitors especially the young school kids.

Very interesting and insightful museum, guiding visitors through Malaysian history from pre-historical to modern times.

It's a long journey by car but it's just so worth it. I feel so lucky that we, Malaysians have this treasure that put us on the world map. He's the star of the show. He is, The Perak Man. 🤩

This may be the most unheard of Unesco world heritage site in Malaysia. Very informative and I appreciate history and archeology of this region a lot more after this visit.

Malaya has one of the oldest civilizations known to mankind. Visit this museum to see the remants of this ancient civilization.

Interesting history of the Lenggong valley

A Worth to visit museum, it share info about Lenggong pre historic from Paleolitic, Neolitic and Bronze era. So many prehistoric evidence were found at Lenggong until Lenggong was declared as world heritage by UNESCO. You can meet Perak Man here too.

A very interesting and awesome experience to see for myself the remaining of Perak Man.

I love every part of exhibitions in the gallery. One of the UNESCO's heritage site. A tribute to hardworking archaelogists and paleontologists on discovering Perak Man. I felt like I was being teleported back to the prehistoric times. A must visit place in Perak 👍🏻

Small but have all the important information and facts why Lenggong is the UNESCO sites
