Very beautiful park! I took the orange hiking trail of 7 km, would definitely go again, the only thing is that it didn’t accept my revolut card, so if you’re tourist would recommend buying the entrances at home through the website to avoid any inconveniences with your card! The visitors center has a lot of information about the fauna of the park, it was very clean too!

Wonderful place for a nice weekend hike / walking the trails. You will most likely run into many deers. I didn’t get the chance to see the foxes though :/

Beautiful place for walking, doing photography and watching animals. There are many deer around here and also foxes can be found. Best chances for foxes are around sunset and sunrise. Some people feed the animals, as seen on one of my pictures, please do not do this as this is unhealthy for the animals.

One of the best national parks in the Netherlands. It has many walking routes (some wheelchair accessible) with different sceneries. You see dozens of deers in the wild; some very close to you. Don't forget to visit the old pumping station De Oranjekoek: a cubist-expressive industrial monument with art deco-like elements.

The AWD is only one or very few nature reserves in the Netherlands where one can trail off the paths and wander around however one would like. However, biking is not allowed, also not on the paths.
It is home to a lovely diverse population of birds including many particular cool species.
Although the population of deer is booming, for many people it will be an easy way to encounter wildlife. However, please remember to not interact with the animals and never ever feed them.

Wow!

I've lived around an hour from this park for years but never made the journey up. I'm so glad I did! Within 2 minutes of entering we saw our first deer and from then on it was endless. An absolutely beautiful national park and well well worth a visit. I look forward to seeing in winter as well, i'm sure it has a very different feel from season to season!

Pay the entry fee, it helps to keep it clean!

Super beautiful! Mushroom season so that was my photographic focus. Definitely recommend. In beautiful autumn the leaves are incredible.

What an amazing nature in Zandvoort! A special place with an amazing history. Bunkers and the water extraction of Amsterdam.
Please check the parking places because that can or will be an issue.
It is a wonderful nature, please do not let your trash behind in the wonderful area.

We entered from the parking area Zuid in Zandvoort. There was no entry fee.

Please respect the nature and animals that live there and don’t throw your waste on the ground and be nice to the animals. Thank you.

Beautiful park where you can roam free, off the paths. Uncommon in the Netherlands in general. Early mornings are especially pleasant

Such an awesome place for a walk. The variety of the landscape in combination with the canals and all the deers makes it a unique place. Really good for an escape from busy Amsterdam. There is a direct bus (80) from busstation Elandsgracht, so easy to go to.

The best hidden gem around Amsterdam for spotting wild deer, fox and more. Lovely paths through the forest and dunes, perfect for easy hiking and to escape from busy Amsterdam. The area is used as an infiltration area for drinking water for the city of Amsterdam. Scenery changes quickly as you walk to the North Sea.

My advice to you is to divert from the paved road as soon as possible, if you wish to have the best nature experience.Very much recommended! Open from sunrise to sunset. You can buy your ticket at the ticket automate, which is placed by each entrance. Price EUR 1.5 or EUR 10 if you go for an annual card. Only possible to buy online.
