I had not experience of staying in homestay. This was my first time. I was with wife and child. Initially we tried to contact Chitlang Organic Village Resort but it were already occupied from couple of week and other resorts. Then we thought of looking in to Homestay. When we reach there, we were not comfortable but later we got involved there. They provided us their personal room where owner used to stay. As on weekend there is almost full occupancy in all places so we didn’t tried at other place. After staying there we were offered some snacks(popcorn, gundruk ko acchar, bhatmas, aaloo, prawn chips), goat cheese and local wine. It was okey.

Later in the evening they started campfire, there were two groups in numbers we were only 3 but other was groups were more than 10. We had coffee. There were Barbecue( Need to pay separate). I recommend to go in group. We had dinner at night( Rice, Dal, Gobi ko Sabji, chutney, Papad) and Chicken Curry. It was good. They provided us complementary wine at night. Next morning we visited their goat farm, sath Dhara, local village, place where King used to stay. After having breakfast (Sohari, aaloo bori ko sabji, boiled egg, tea and coffee) we travelled to Marku for our further program.

Staff and owner were very good. When leaving let put tika and garland as honor, it was their customary. Please see my previous review to see how we reach here.

We went there from Markhu to taste the local cheese and it was good experience (though the road was not good). 2 types of cheese were there, soft and hard, soft costs NPR 200 and hard costs NPR 1200.

Apart from cheese tasting, they also had homestay facilities available for people who wanted to experience the tradition and culture of the Makwanpur area. The place had a typical village style "aura", the freshness of air, laid back style of people, and cold water. Everything was fresh and just lets you think behind time. We are always in a hurry, to work, to go to college and everything and this place is just a "comma" in your life for a needed break.

You can also come here via your own vehicle (bike ride would be awesome I also did that) and also hiking.

The room is nice but the beds aren’t soft,
The dinner Wes good and diversity, we excepted also for a good breakfast but it’s was small meal and we asked to pay for extra goat cheese.
The family are amazing people and they hosted us very nicely
