Dhanush Mandir - Dhanushadham

This place is approx 30-40min from Janakpur Temple and if someone is visiting Janakpur Temple, they must visit this place.

It's a historical temple situated in Nepal near Janakpur. It is famous for its connection with Lord Ram and have real traces related to Ramayan. Overall, its a must visit holy place.

It was believed that the three pieces of the bow broken by the Lord Ram while participating in the contest to Marry Sita. One of the pieces is in jankapur dham and another one is in this places and another flew in Tamil Nadu Rameshworam India.
It's grewing days to days.

It is located around 20km away from the heart of jankapur city.

The origin of Dhanusadham can be traced in the Satya Yuga. Dhanusadham is about 134 miles from Kathmandu and it is about 11 miles from Janakpur, where Lord Sri Rama picked and broke the “Shiva Dhanush”. The pieces of that bow are in the magical form in the ground. The stain of the broken Dhanush has been increasing with time, enhancing our faith against the evil.

One important thing to be noted, The Bow light in nature stone is very light and it's swim in water as you can witness it at Mahavir Mandir, Patna.

Among the three pieces of dhanush of Lord Shiva which are broken when goddess Sita lifted it, one of the piece is believed to be in this temple which has been decayed to form rocks. These rocks are further spreading into the ground, year by year the rate of formation of these particular type of rock is increasing. Among the three pieces, the two end portions were dropped into Rameshworam & nearby a pond in Janaki temple. Because of the arrow & the bow and this story, the temple got its name Shree Dhanush Temple (श्रि धनुष मन्दिर)

Dont miss this place(~18kms) while vising Janakpurdham where a part of bow ("dhanus") was dropped after ram had broken down in 3 pieces.. 🙂

Wonderful place, with full of mystery. If you visit there, please talk to the pujari (priest) of the temple to gain all the knowledge about the temple.

This Temple has a great aura around it.

Simply awesome place.
Thankfully I visited this place.
This place has a great history and mystery.
It is believed that, according to the epic Ramayana, the bow which was broken when lord Ram tried to attach string to it and got scattered all over the world, one piece is here and is coming to earth surface slowly.
It is said that, few years back the visible portion of bow was very few but now it's massive.
You can see a lot of metallic substance submerged in the ground.
The awesome thing is that, it hasn't rusted a bit.
Don't believe me visit and see for yourself. Till the time any one other go I think it'll even grow bigger.
