I visited this great place with my family to enjoy boating. The view of Phewa lake changes during the day. During the morning it is a peaceful dreamy place where you can enjoy a peace of mind and listen to birds, and watch the boats peacefully gliding on the still surface of the lake. During the day you can find numerous cafes and restaurants (local and international kitchen) and in the evening you can see this peaceful place transform into a busy lively center full of music and sparkling lights of night life. There is a ticketing system here. You can ride the boat yourself or take a driver. There is a temple in the middle of the lake. This is the main attraction for international and national tourists alike.

Very much enjoying and soothing place. I would say one should stay at walking distance from lake, so they can enjoy the morning Photography, Boating and evening ambience all. Most lake side restaurants play live bands, which is enjoyable. The lake is clean.

A really peaceful lake right in the city that stretches till the eyes can see. It is very well maintained and you can walk in the garden right beside it. There is also ample boats if you want to do it and the feeling is very wholesome. You can't miss this if you come to Pokhara. This is the deal.

Lakeside is excellent for solo traveling. A taxi or public bus can drop you off right in front of the gate, or you could opt for a pleasant walk. Once there, you can stroll along the lake’s shore. Huts are situated every few meters on the left side, with pubs and restaurants on the right. During my visit, there were only a few people wandering about, although I’m not certain if this is always the case. You can enjoy various drinks—soft, hard, or juice—while sitting on the shore and admiring the lake view. When you feel tired, you can take a boat towards the Tal Barahi Temple and explore the area for a while. In just 2-3 hours, you can have a wonderful time there.

Definitely relaxing after Kathmandu or trekking. Cool atmosphere. There seems to be a lot of smoke in the air in April. But it doesn't really affect the lungs or eyes. Gives of a tropical vibe. But no Himalaya views though

Phewa Lake (Pokhara, Nepal)

The place is having its own beauty and we were there on the occasion of Holi and I was totally lost myself in the colours our Nepal. Everyone including foreigner tourist and  their kids were playing Holi too and having lots of fun with all.

Ok so let's talk how to reach there, please find below the details for the same.

Airport: Pokhara - You can get the flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Train: No Train connectivity.

Cab: Can book your own personal cab (price can negotiable, sharing and personal both cab available from Kathmandu)

Private Vehicles: You can bring your own vehicle but road conditions are not well.

Bus: You can get the bus from Kathmandu as bus run in this route morning and in night as well.

The price from Kathmandu to Pokhara is not more than 1700-1800 Nepali Rs including luxury buses.

Kathmandu to Pokhara is around 200 km (Can take minimum 8-9 hours due to bad roads).

Let's discuss about the lakeside experience, so there are multiple bars, restaurants, fine dines in lakeside and the vibes are soo happening. You can freely walk in late night as well.

Although we Missed the fish tail Himalayas view due to the rainy weather but thats fine we covered that with very low visibility in the last day.

Oh yes, how I can forget that...I ate a apple pie and choclate pie as well which you will found there in aunty shope..she made delicious pies and the tea she serve us in early morning was superb.

You must visit pokhara and experience the ambience of lakeside.

It's your responsibility to keep clean the place you are visiting.

1. A distant view of the snowcapped Himalayas? Check.
2. A big placid and picturesque lake? Check.
3. A tranquil city by the lake surrounded by hills and snowcapped mountains? Check.

Unique? Maybe, but I am blessed by seeing Pokhara lakeside. I am from Southeast Asia and I don't see the point of visiting Bangkok or Singapore as Nepal or Pokhara is a million times better, visually. And also, Pokhara is the antithesis of the chaotic Kathmandu.

To my fellow Southeast Asians, visiting Nepal is much better compared to visiting Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Hanoi/ HCMC, Jakarta or KL for sightseeing. I just don't understand the allure of visiting big, humid, crowded developed Asian cities in exchange for eye candy that is Nepal.

Pokhara is the second largest city in Nepal, after Kathmandu. The town is about 200 kilometres away from Kathmandu, to the west. It rests at the foot of the Annapurna range and is a favourite trekking starting point. it surrounds the Phewa Lake or the Phewa Tal, a gorgeous freshwater lake which is eerily similar to a mirror! The lake gained popularity for its breathtaking reflection of the blue skies and the towering Mt. Machhapuchhre of the Annapurna range.❤
