Peaceful place to sit and enjoy the beautiful pond. Can also do boating here. Ganga aarti must not be missed which happens in the evening.
The only downside was the place is not managed properly. People are taking bath and pooping in the pond and polluting the holy place.

The huge and famous lake, Ganga Sagar in Janakpur is located close the to Janakmahal. The lake is considered sacred and is considered to be one of the more important pools in Janakpur along with Dhanush Sagar. Closeby is the 70-year-old Ganga Sagar library which is frequented by locals who come here to read the newspapers after a morning spent at the lake.

Very peaceful ॐ but the place is polluted, not only this place but other places and temples as well. In past few years some places are looking more organized since Janakpur became the capital of Madhesh Pradesh but still many things and places should be overlooked. Janakpur has to be thoroughly cleaned. And doing this alone will not suffice. The public should be made aware of their responsibility.
