Godavari Forest

Small isolated places and spots surrounding the mighty phulchowki hill makes a perfect place for a short trip by bike or hiking through the trails.
A short distance away from motorable road you can find yourself amidst the nature, completey immersed feel with the forest greenery and colorful flowers throughout the trails. If you want to be in silence and alone away from the hustle of the city life

Best dating place near Kathmandu. It's good location for picnic too. This place has botanical garden. Public bench and clean drinking water is also available here. No problems of shops and restaurants here. It's in lalitpur district. You can get vehicles from satdobato.

As I live in city where I can only see vehicle, building, road and dust. This is the place very I mostly visit for refreshments and to be close to nature. It's easily accessible from langankhel where there are lot of microvans and buses to reach and is very near if someone is from Kathmandu or Lalitpur valley. Its place consists lots of trees and suitable for small hiking trips. Botanical garden is also very near from it. I have to say it's one of the most easily accessible forest for the urban community.

At the top of the hill, there is a good place to stay overnight and BBQ. But be careful

The environment here is too great for people who love peace. Cyclists visit here often to have a great trail of Lele - Godawari. The tall trees, open green space, spectacular corn fields make this place so beautiful and makes you want to visit again and again. You can also see some wild animals like jackal and birds if you go deep into this forest. The ascent is slow, whereas the Godawari descent is very fast.

Loved the peace and the sounds of crickets and birds an of my own footsteps and breath that normally I wouldn't even notice...will be going again and again..

Journey from Godavari to Phulchoki is one of the craziest and fun moment...you can visit and have fun with Nature.

Very peaceful and calm place. It is a good thick forest and the air is filled with sounds of birds chirping. If you are going in a group you can take the trail through the forward however if you are alone it is recommended to stick to the main road.

Best and beautiful place with good environment.

This was a common picnic venue in my school life . I changed about 4 schools and they all organized picnic here :) . I liked to be there all the time . It's a quick escape from Kathmandu (busy, noisy and pollution). Greenery , Cool clean air and free flowing water stream . This is amazing .
