Jonathan, Natasha and their crew have truly created a masterpiece here. Clean, comfortable, amazing accommodations and grounds made for a relaxing retreat and fun getaway. Rambala Jungle Lodge is situated on 79 acres of pristine rainforest jungle. The lodge, 2 bungalows, hot tub, Rancho, Palapa and entire property is 100% off-grid, powered by a micro hydro turbine and propane tanks. Meals, drinks and cocktails were fresh, very well prepared and delicious. Natasha’s cooking and presentation are both top notch. Comfortable beds and many furnishings throughout are locally sourced and beautiful. I appreciated the hot shower along with great water pressure too. The bungalows are open air, having no windows or screens and the river is within sight and earshot which added to the feelings of being fully immersed in nature.

We passed two sloths side-by-side about half way up a tree on the hike in. After lunch Jonathan pointed out a mama sloth with her baby on board on our way down to the river. I saw at least a dozen Blue Morpho butterflies the next morning while floating in one of the two waterfall “pools” onsite. Birds are abundant and the diversity of plant and animal life here is incredible.

Probably one of the best places we have ever been.

You are in the middle of the jungle but with a high standard of comfort. We had fantastic food (thanks to Natascha), amazing service (thanks to John) and just a great time!

Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Can't begin to explain how I felt the moment we arrived at Rambala Jungle Lodge. My wife and I spent 2 nights and wished we had stayed for another. Felt totally relaxed and stress free in the spectacular open air cabins and jungle. Jonathan and Tasha, owners of the property, were very friendly and attentive. The service was extremely personable right down to the chalkboard where the menu was posted, as well as other notes to us from Natasha.
The cabins were rustic and chic like nothing you could imagine in the middle of the jungle. You open the door to find an open air custom-built luxury. We fell asleep every night to the sound of water flowing down the rocks that our cabin overlooked. The bathroom had a gorgeous wooden sink and an open-air shower. Spectacular!
Natasha cooked up wholesome hardy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and supper. Jonathan's smoothies were fantastic.
If you are looking to relax and disconnect, don't hesitate to stay at Rambala Jungle Lodge.
Thanks for everything!

A stunning oasis in the jungle. Adventure from the start. Amazing drive in to be met by Jonathan at the dead end by the river then an hike up to the lodge seeing sloths along the way. We were blown away and felt like princesses! The room was so clean and beautiful, completely in nature with hummingbirds flying through your hair and vampire bats circling below. The bamboo shower being a highlight!!! A waterfall to cool off in on arrival and Tasher produced some utterly delicious homemade lemonade and local fish!!! The best jungle experience anyone to ask for. Get on down!!!!!

Absolutely amazing, comfortable place in a wonderland of nature! It’s rare to have such a nice well kept place in a wild jungle setting. The cabins are beautiful - lots of attention to detail. And very comfortable. Slept very well to the relaxing white noise of the waterfall right outside our cabin. Food was incredibly tasty, too. After a hike through stunning rainforest, we took a swim in a magical pool under a waterfall, in crystal clear water. Overall, highly recommended!

Just returned from a wonderful 3 day stay. Jonathan and Tasha have created an amazing getaway and have gone to great lengths to make a stay at Rambala Lodge a memorable one. The lodges are comfortable, well-appointed, well-stocked and very clean. Delicious, beautifully presented food, and fun, refreshing cocktails await at the main lodge. Hiking trails through the amazing rain forest, or floating on tubes along the Rambala River waterfalls are just some of the activities we took advantage of during our stay. Oh...and sloths! Highly recommend!

This is by far one of the coolest experiences in Panama. I was there last night for one night, on my way back to Panama City ... I will definitely be returning soon for a longer stay and to take my son.

The hosts Jonathan and Tasha are absolutely incredible. Tasha makes amazing food and Jonathan is a world of information about all the amazing nature and animals there in the jungle.

Highly Recommended!!!

My friends and I spent 3 days at this paradise. We called it a high end boutique rustic lodge. Attention to detail is a hallmark of this place. Entertaining and accommodating hosts and staff, lush landscaping, well marked and lighted hiking trails, comfortable cabins, delicious meals and craft cocktails in the jungle! We loved swimming around and under the waterfalls, reading in the hammock chairs and visiting with a sloth. Johnathan and Tasha are welcoming hosts who will see our group again!

Best jungle lodge not just in Panama, but in all of Central America! I say that after birding the tropics for 30+ years and after having stayed at many different lodges. Rambala is a perfect mix of comfort, good food, and pristine jungle habitat. For birders it's a must, and is very enjoyable to anyone who loves nature. The owners have an amazing attention to detail, and go out of their way to insure guests have an awesome stay. I look forward to returning soon!

Our hosts Natasha and Jonathan made our stay the best travel experience on our trip.
The little lodge is located right in the jungle, but offers a standard we could not find anywhere else.
The lodge is very stylish, matches with the jungle experience and the home-made food and cleanliness is unbeatable.
We also fully enjoyed the company of sloths around the lodge, the 2 waterfalls and nature in general.
A place we already missed short after leaving!

We were treated like kings and queens from the very first minute until we left three days later. I especially liked the food. Natasha is an amazing chef. Everthing comes so nicely presented and is so delicious! The best food we had in Panama. Thanks a lot.

Awesome Place to stay if you are in Panama! Jonathan and Tasha created a perfect hideaway, where you dont miss anything. Its a perfect, stylish place to stay and relax and both hosts make it even even better. Bungalows, and the whole area are embedded in the nature without disturbing it. So it gives you the jungle experience without dispensing the amenities you need for a relaxed and calm stay and you do want to have in your holidays. Remember it is a hike in lodge where you have to hike in for approximately 15min. But this is neccessary to give you the jungle experience and silence you want. I highly recommend to stay there for at least 3 nights and thanks to Jonathan and Tasha. Was defininetly the highlight of my panama-Trip and i hope to come back soon!!!

If you’re looking for an immersive jungle experience, look no further! Off the grid and in the heart of the jungle, John and Tasha have built an amazing eco jungle lodge from scratch. The hike in is definitely worth the experience, you’ll see everything from snakes to Tucan and all sorts of jungle critters. I would also recommend the horseback tour of the property, it’s a great way to experience the jungle. All meals and drinks are included and Tasha is an absolutely amazing cook. Both John and Tasha are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to your jungle experience and I left with a head full of new information and a once in a lifetime adventure!

We just spent 7 days at the Rambala Jungle Lodge. We had a spectacular time hiking, swimming, horseback riding, critter searching and exploring. We had never been to Panama, do not speak the language and was unsure what to expect once we got there. Because of covid19 and mudslides our trip was moved out exactly 1 year. Although I hated to wait that extra year I believe it was worth it. Once I got to the entrance of lodges hike in trail I was immediately amazed. The photos that have been put online can not compare to the sheer beauty of this place. The hike up the first pasture is steep, at the top of that is the entrance to the jungle part of the hike which is steep too but so beautiful. Up the mountain thru the jungle, vibrant plant life, wild animal noises and the roar of the nearby river and waterfalls is absolutely amazing. Then to reach the lodging area.. you immediately feel satisfied, and realize it was totally worth the work to get there. The Rancho, the cabins, the Polopa and the main lodge all nestled on the side of this mountain away from EVERYTHING. The cabins are all private open air cabins with running water, full bathrooms (including hot water showers) and power. These cabins are breath taking. The views from each cabin are magnificent. The view from the main lodge is sure to impress everyone no matter what wildlife you may be looking for. Toucans, sloths, snakes, insects, monkeys and so much more. There are 2 water falls which are easily accessed where floating and swimming is appropriate. These trails are clean, well maintained and easily recognized. The owners have done so much work here to give everyone an experience of a lifetime. They are familiar with the pattern of the wildlife. They can tell you approximately when the toucans will be flying by or how long that sloth is going to be in a certain tree or where the frogs hide out the most. They are educated on the critters and the area. They are truly amazing people. They include 3 meals a day with your stay and I was never disappointed and trust me I am not someone who eats anything. They verify with you when you book if there is anything you can not or do not eat. They really strive to make your experience AWESOME. I can not wait to go again. They shared with me a few future projects and I am excited to see these projects completed. Words really can not describe the beauty of this lodge, the hard work that has been put into this lodge or the experience you can get from visiting this lodge. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to take a break from the craziness this world has been thru this last year. Wonderful place to get away from it all for a few days.

What a beautiful, newly renovated lodge right in the middle of the jungle! Amazing views! You can come to swim under a waterfall, hike the groomed trails (or ride them on horseback) or just relax in a tropical setting and watch the show of jungle animals; monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots and so much more! The cabins have beautiful beds and upscale netting and linens, electricity, mini-fridges, USB ports, ensuite baths with full plumbing and are clean, clean, clean! The common areas are just so beautiful where you can have a drink, relax in a hammock, play some billiards or talk with other adventure-seekers. Check out their FaceBook page for a glimpse of this jungle gem!

Amazing jungle immersive experience but with comfort and character. Jonathan and Tosha, plus Ngäbe staff leader, Tomas, have polished this precious gem with imagination and incredible hard work. Great food, ambiance, wildlife, sounds, scents, ...So thankful they have embraced preserved, and super enhanced this treasure and dream of Eric and Lynn
