Gaisano Capital Tacloban

Probably the oldest shopping store here in Tacloban.
It's a bit outdated with the current trend though but you can still buy necessities there.

Affordable and accessible. Customer service is just fine. Though security is just overacting as if everyone that comes to the store are all theif or have plans of stealing as they have to check your bag as you go in and out of the grocery and department store. You are also not allowed to bring your umbrella inside so you really have to fall in line to the courtesy booth to leave it there, in case it does not fit in your hand/shoulder bag. Backpacks? You also have to leave them at the courtesy both so you will likely have to hand carry your wallet, cellphone and other valuables with you LOL but if you have a laptop in your backpack, they will allow you to bring your backpack with you ;) The atmosphere, it's just okay.

Turks is now available by the grocery area. Grocery always tend to have long queue especially during weekends. Even the fast lane tend to have long lines to. Floor managers isn't much of a help in making every transaction fast and smooth. Nothing much change from this old well-known store in the area except for the salon, electronic stores, food stalls and tiangge by the first floor entrance.

Gaisano Capital since 1977. now is Gaisano Capital Tacloban Main. they have all ready 3 branches of gaisano soon. Gaisano Central, Gaisano Metro.

This place is so memorable to me. I love it.
