Coron Gateway Hotel and Suites

The room is spacious, needs a little bit of renovation but considering the price/what you get it's very good. Staff is very friendly, helpful, kind and ready to help with any requests. The view of the Palawan islands is spectacular. The docking area is very close, max walk of 5-10mins. The bars and restaurants are all very close.
The restaurant in the hotel has some really great food and cheaper drinks compared to other bars, have to say I'm very satisfied with the overall experience and service.

Pros:
- Near the town and docking area where you have to go for all the tours.
- Very accommodating and helpful staffs. Our aircon stopped working and they immediately fixed it.
- There’s restaurant in the ground floor that offers tasty food with a reasonable price (cheaper than in Real St).
- Daily cleaning of the hallway.
- The room is big with bathtub, small ref, tv, kettle etc.

Cons:
- Old facilities and worn out sofa but we don’t care much about it coz we are often outside to visit the beautiful islands and lagoons.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Most importantly, you can feel that everyone is so kind and you’ll feel safe here.

The staff is SUPER NICE. It was the slow season, so the staff upgraded us to a bigger room with 2 gueen size beds, with a jacuzzi. The staff was very helpful to set us up with the island tours. The room gets cleaned every day. We checked out other hotels while we were there. There are 2 that i think were worth it. This is one of them.

And being away from the Philippines for almost 2 decades, i realized how nice and kind Filipinos are.

ALL the island tours are worth it, the trip to the stair case and the natural springs are an adventure and difficult but worth going, but forget about the main island safari, you have to wake up early, pay much more, travel so long for a silly safari tour, the waterfalls not much to look at.

Spend at least 1 day to have your own private island tour. Its about $80.00 a day and ask your guide to bring you to one of those island not included on the main tour.

A hotel for the tourist whose budget is not an issue. But for those looking for the best in coron, this is for you. We can't afford the hotel's rate so we didn't check-in here. We happen to pass by, order some.drinks, listen to a young band playing and off we go.

Hmm what can i say.. nice hotel. Clean. Near the terminal and market.. not that far from the restaurants. with cool view of the ocean and boat terminal. You gotta love the vibes 👍
