Doña Josefa Falls

Based on the groups of visitors that I saw at the falls, Doña Josefa Falls is a favorite swimming venue of the locals.

A Habal-Habal driver brought me to barangay Balansag in the municipality of Roseller T Lim where this falls is from Poblacion, Ipil for the negotiated amount of Php100. The road to this place from Ipil is paved. We passed by the entrance of the road that leads to the Lulinghayaw Eco-Park.

Upon reaching the river where the water from the falls stretches, I did an upstream river tracing to the main falls.

There are multiple foot-long and meter-long falls and swimming pools in the river stretch. Boulders are in the middle of the river so it was easy to step on them while going up. The water is clear. There are tiny fishes and green algae everywhere.

In going down, I followed the bushy trail until I reached the paved road which is the portion of the road that is on the other side of the river where the Habal-Habal driver dropped me off.

There are multiple stores to buy refreshments, meters apart from each other, at the road which are at least a thousand steps far from the place where the Habal-Habal can reach.
