From the very onset of our journey, the Dusit Thani Plantation Resort in Davao promised an unforgettable experience, and it certainly delivered. Beginning with a scenic boat ride from the main island, we were warmly greeted by the general manager, Lazarus, who made us feel immediately at home with a refreshing serving of coconut juice and a rejuvenating cold towel.

The short buggy ride to our two-bed villa with its own private pool was filled with anticipation, and the villa itself did not disappoint. Immaculate, modern, and inviting, it provided the perfect haven for relaxation. The breathtaking view of the sunset on the beach was a mere walk away, and the convenience of room service allowed us to savor our meals from the comfort of our balcony.

Each morning was a delightful surprise, from a refreshing dip in the pool to a sumptuous buffet breakfast. The resort also offered whimsical activities like a game of giant chess on their lush lawns. For those looking to connect with nature, the beaches are a treasure trove of seashells, and the nature walk is a must – an invigorating way to start the day.

Our 2-night stay seemed all too short for such an enchanting place. What truly stood out, however, was the dedication and warmth of the staff. Their attention to detail, combined with their genuine friendliness, added that special touch to our perfect getaway.

A special thanks to Lazarus and his exceptional team for making our stay so memorable. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a slice of paradise.

Amazing island resort for family holidays. We travel a lot and we try to explore beautiful hotels and resorts. As per philippines standard I will give 10 out of 10 for this resort. Beautiful location, tasty food and amazing resort. Hotel manager Lazarus was very helpful and he made our stay unforgettable. He also took us for morning walk to explore the forest area. For sure whenever we visit davao we will spend sometime in this resort.

Nice accomodation! Very Friendly staff. Good food. 1 night is not enough if you want to try all the activities in the resort.

It was awesome staying in Lubi plantation. The staff were greatly accomodating. And food were delicious. The beach was not so cooperative since it was low tide almost all the time. But the pool was just amazing. Not too deep and not too shallow. So we spend more time splashing in the pool. Such a wonderful stay in the resort.

Exclusive island. Excellent service. Exquisite facilities. Definitely instagrammable. Super relaxing. Rocky beach. Nothing to do much at night.

Our sponsored package comes with buffet breakfast, free kayak, free snorkeling, free karaoke. The resort is so big that you have to ride gold carts from room to any other facility.

Spent two nights and 3 days and everything is just amazingly perfect. Resort is very quiet with amazing views where you can peacefully relax, a lot of activities to do like golfing , billiard , table tennis and etc . Food and drinks are worth the price. The staffs are so accommodating and friendly as well.

Our stay was 2 nights at the Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort. Transport was included from Dusit Thani2D Davao with a traveling time of approximately 1,5 hours in a comfortable airconditioned van. An optional boat transfer from Davao is available at a price of php 28.000 two ways, good for 20 persons with a duration of 45 minutes.
Transfer from Pindasan (Mabini) to the Island is arranged by a large 40 feet boat with outboard engines and takes only 3 minutes. At the dock there’s a waiting room with air conditioning. Umbrella’s are provided for your walk from the waiting area to the boat.
On arrival we were welcomed with fresh buko juice. A golf cart brought us from the jetty to villa 20 where our room was situated. The room is opened by key card and the room was already cooled down by the continues running split type air conditioning.
The room is very comfortable, sufficient space and very clean. Internet speed is sufficient ( 5mb/s measured during daytime) but can slow down during heavy rain. The provided tv channels on the large smart tv are of rather low quality and also disappear during heavy rains.
There are a few restaurants to choose from at walking distance. Keep in mind that for some dishes (like steaks) you need to make your choice 3 hours before. But most food is available directly and the service is very good. The food is of excellent quality and very reasonable prices, except the steaks.
Breakfast is delicious, although there are limitations on the European / American side of choices, which I guess are due to logistic challenges and limitations due to the remote location of the resort.
For us the pro’s are: very quiet resort, peacefull, local wildlife like birds, good food and drinks, no WALA, no loud karaoke, very friendly staff, amazing views, during weekdays not crowded and reasonable prices.

The con’s: you are on an island, so there’s no choice to go exploring the local area around the resort except the island, the swimming pool is in full sun all day, dishes are mostly focused on Filipino kitchen (healthy food options are limited), our WiFi on our devices was cut of directly after checking out, but that is all.
All in all, we can say this was one our best experiences on a resort in The Philippines, so top notch!

Beautiful vacation island with great views, the friendliest staff, enjoyable activities for everyone, luxurious rooms, and delicious food (not salty). One other great feature of this resort... no electric power lines on the island to ruin the great view. Hope to return here in the future with the rest of the family.

Had a really great time staying here. Sadly one night is not enough to enjoy this majestic place. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Meals are exquisite! Place is a definitely a 5 star for me. Services are great too! If your looking for some of the best island getaway trip this place is definitely on the list!

The resort has all the amenities of a 5 star resort. The facilities are spacious and clean. What makes this resort stand out , are the courteous , engaging , maalaga staff from the welcoming crew , pool side staff Janel, snorkling water sports crew Jover and Adel, to the dining staff , Ms Sharon and Nash, the very accommodating chef Ruel “Weng” . They made our daytrip to Lubi memorable and fun. Highly recommend this resort if you’re going to Davao.

Dusit Thani Resort is one of our top choice to stay together with my family. The food is great specially their smoothies. What we love the most is the spacious rooms and clean restrooms. Ang isa sa mga magandang features na hinahanap namen sa isang resort ay malinis na banyo. And the pool is also one of the best features that the resort has.
