CASA HERMOGINA-Mount Pinatubo Tours And Accommodation

Drove up in the morning, so didn’t stay in any of the rooms but we organised the Mt. Pinatubo tour with them. Very easy to book and the person we booked with was very nice and accomodating. We were also still allowed to park at the place which was very nice. The tour guide was also super friendly and we managed to be one of the first up the mountain. Overall such a great experience, highly recommend

Amazing hospitality.

Our hosts Allan and his wife were so accommodating during our stay. We arrived for a late check in before a hike to Mt Pinatubo the following morning. Right as we were about to depart for Capas, Allan proactively messaged me on Whatsapp to give directions on how to get there as the New Clark City exit isn't open yet (as of Mar 2023).

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Allan himself and led to our rooms which looked super clean. One shouldn't expect luxury - it's exactly as is looks on the photos. Sheets were prepped neatly and the towels smelled great. All one can ask for, especially being this far out from the city!

Some minor downsides during our stay but not at all a deal breaker - our wifi was spotty in some areas, and water pressure could be better. Heater was available though.

Our hosts asked us about our plans for our hike and offered breakfast and a pack lunch for a reasonable fee. My fiancé is a vegetarian, and while their regular menu isn't very vegetarian friendly - they made her kangkong and tofu for the hike. We especially appreciate Allan's wife asking us about our food preferences. We never got to know her name. They also prepared the food by 5am earlier than usual, because of our scheduled depature time for the 4x4 tour.

Upon leaving for Mt Pinatubo, we let the hosts know that we might come back way later than the check-out period. The Casa team were ok with it which was above and beyond our expectations. I'm sure this is not guaranteed every time and depends on reservations, but we sincerely appreciate the gesture.

We had a great time here and would not hesitate to come back when we decide to do another climb in the future.

This place is, without a doubt.. a gem …it is a gateway to Mt. Pinatubo and a wonderful accommodation that takes about 20 minutes to get to by car from and to New Clark City..

First, it is beautiful.. they have plants all around..and the place/rooms/the house are pretty..and clean.. and aesthetically pleasing…The owner is a friendly, warm and accommodating host. He was very responsive since the first time we inquired about his place…and when we were there..He was always there to see to our needs as well as his staff.
They do serve delicious meals…☺

We stayed recently at Casa Hermogina when our swimming team joined a competition held at the Aquatic Center. The place was amazing! We were a large group but we were accommodated graciously and we had the compound to ourselves. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. And the food! The foods were delicious, generously served, and surprisingly, very affordable. The hosts were very friendly, accommodating and very understanding. It was very fortunate of us fo find a place like Casa Hermogina. I would definitely recommend the place.Thank you, Casa Hermogina! Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. B.!

What a cozy place! The place is super spacious and seemed to be well-maintained. We felt very welcome and were very well taken care of. We were having some challenges getting to the place but the owner looked after the transportation arrangements for us (for a reasonable fee). The staff was very nice and polite. The only thing my husband didn't really like was that there wasn't any TV--it's his most favorite thing! All in all it was truly a very nice place to stay in when you're planning to visit Mt. Pinatubo. They even make the arrangements for you to do the tours. Just show up and pay, and you're good to go. :-)

I would recommend staying in this place and would use it again.

Location: it bit challenging to get to but there are quite a few options to get there. I was driven by friends. There is a military base near by so there will be also a military check when entering the town.

Room: for the location and conditions is perfect. There was got water, air-conditioning and tidy rooms. The toilet was broken on arrival but the owner fixed it quickly.

Staff: very friendly and communicative. Before our arrival communication was via text message. Allan was super helpful with quick replies.

Food: so far, the best food I ate in Philippines. I am vegetarian and they were very accommodating with my culinary preferances. Loved the pancakes and eggs in the morning.

They also helped arranging the private tour to Mt Pinatubo (5900pessos).

Would use Allan's place again. Keep up the good work.

Room is basic but clean. Owner very helpful and friendly, the garden is really cute, the food was good and the organisation of the tour in Pinatubo was perfect :) there is parking place for your car. The best to avoid waking up early morning and drive from Manila.

Very friendly hosts. Accommodating staffs. Our room was clean and neat. Its very close by the base of Pinatubo. They even are offering tour for Pinathbo which was very convenient.

I think it is the best place to stay in the base camp. Owner and his staff are great.
